Overview
The Picasso Heavy Cover Shock Blade Pro Vibrating Jig brings expanded features and functionality to the Picasso Shock Blade lineup. Featuring a “Speed Blade” for rapid vibration which creates a fast and erratic darting action that will trigger a strike even when the fish are not aggressively feeding. Its neutral balance combined with the protected blade attachment and “V” shaped head allows the Heavy Cover Shock Blade Pro to cut through grass and deflect off any bottom structure. The rapid striking of the Speed Blade hitting the head creates a unique clicking sound that flat out attracts fish and will deflect like a crankbait by just accelerating the retrieve.
The flexible, quadruple-prong, titanium weed guard lets you work through cover with fewer hang-ups, while not impeding the hook set and allowing good hook penetration. Molded around a custom Japanese-made modified O’Shaughnessy style hook for superior quality and unsurpassed sharpness and strength. A double bait keeper system secures your plastic trailer and prevents slippage. The super-soft silicone skirt material of the Picasso Heavy Cover Shock Blade Pro Vibrating Jig creates fish-attracting undulation comparable to living rubber material. Patent Design #D760,866. Proudly Made in the USA.

Comments: I love bladed jigs. Easily my favorite bait. So when these Picasso version we're on sale for Christmas I took a chance to check some out beyond the Zman offerings. I've been fishing the black and blue with both matching trailers and natural watermelon type colors. The blade starts up quickly and rarely needs to be "ripped" to get it going. On larger fish(2lb+) the weed guard does not interfere at all with hookup. I do feel like some smaller bumps might have been missed hits from small fish, but they could just been weeds too. The weed guard works well. I've been throwing into winter cattails (so dried) and come through without and snags at all. Yanking the bait through grass I'm not sure I notice any difference with the guard. The grass still catches the notch between the head and blade. The head design is nice, dig the more lifelike look and it swims well. It is soft though. After quite a bit of use the blade digs down into the lead. Doesn't seem to affect anything though. The skirt has held up well and the hook still seems very sharp after maybe 20 fish. This gets a thumbs up from me.

Comments: Bought one for my wife mostly because she liked the colors and its been a very good producer for her this spring including a couple 4-5 pound Large Mouth.
