The Picasso Suijin Jig Heads was developed with “scrounger” guru Aaron Martens overseeing every step. The proprietary formulation of the bill material is crucial for this type of lure to achieve its full potential based on water temp and the plastic trailer being used. The head design of the Picasso Suijin ensures proper cupping of the bill material to optimize the swimming/kicking action of plastic trailers. The double-tapered smooth cylinder provides easy placement and keeps your soft plastic secure without tearing while the concave collar helps prevent fish from pulling them down.
The Picasso Suijin Jig Heads is equipped with a Gamakatsu 2X strong hook to accommodate a variety of plastic trailers from small soft plastic jerk baits to larger straight-tail swimbaits. Each pack of Picasso Suijin Jig Heads includes 2 extra replacement bills of different thicknesses to achieve a tighter or wider swimming action for varied trailer sizes or water temperatures.

Comments: I like the smaller size's of these (1/8 & 3/16 oz.). The trailer you choose definitely has an affect on the action. Straight tails work the best. Experiment with different trailers until you find one that really vibrates (3" flukes work best for me). I've had days when this is the only thing that works.

Comments: Not the most professional product and I was surprised this passed QC from Picasso. I ordered 2 sizes and both had the bill sizes hand written on the bill with a blue marker that was all smudged and barely legible if even at all. When I tested them on the water, the action was subpar. They have a tight wobble and don't thump nearly as hard as the lucky strike scrounger, which in my opinion is still the best scrounger out there. I definitely don't recommend these.

Comments: This head is first rate in design and execution, with excellent quality all the way around. BUT, and a big one, the hooks are about two sizes smaller than advertised. What a pity, these were almost a home run.

Comments: This jig head is incredible especially for post spawn, deeper, ledge fishing. The side to side wobble with a proper swimbait induces awesome bites! This thing is a winner on the Tennessee River system. The great thing about the suijun is the interchangeable bills that can help change the resistance and wobble. pick up some of these and roll em slow!

Comments: Awesome scrounger bait! It's been a great addition to my finesse fishing and love all the options with this bait.

Comments: Great scrounger and by far the most options. 2 things, would be cool if the head had a fish eye or fish head style design. Putting a small bait on heavier heads looks very off but still works great. While I've never had a problem yet with a bait coming off, I would still like to see some kinda of bait keeper, as they do tend to slide back on a bomber cast. I give it an 9/10 for options and availability. I've been painting my heads

Comments: Man, last time I ignore the reviews on a product before ordering. Really disappointed with these scrounger heads. I ordered the recommended large size for throwing the big scrounger baits like the Scottsboro Sniper and Jenko Tremor as its one of my favorite big fish techniques. These have no action. The Jenko heads are FAR superior to these. Paired with the Scottsboro Sniper it just comes straight through the water, no wobble at all. Paired with the Jenko Tremor there is some action but more of a non-vibrating shimmy, which is ok for ultra clear water I suppose but I dont see it generating strikes the way the Jenko Tremor heads do.

Comments: Let me start off by saying I've fished most of the major scroungers on the market to this point. The Davis Baits version Aaron partnered for years back was an amazing bait when it first hit the market. I absolutely tore em' up on it, but like everything there's always room for improvement. I'm assuming Picasso has a much better r&d process and Aaron was given almost exclusive control over the components and features of this bait. It screams fine turned, and If you know how Aaron fishes then you know everything he uses is meticulously thought out. This is no different. The bill material when matched with the correct baits, and the correct retrieves are PERFECT. Stiffer bills work better on faster retrieves while the softer bills are better for slower retrieves. I've been fishing the 3/16oz. D bill with a Zoom Fluke with about a 1/4" taken off. The action isn't overly wide and over powering like you'll find with other brands. There's also an erratic action outside of the normal wobble these produce. While very slight the bait will deviate from it's straight line. Giving the bait almost an S action look. I'd like to believe if you're fishing for a species that feeds mostly on Gizzards then you might want that huge overpowering wobble that other brands offer but if you're like me and fishing for a Herring feeding fish this is spot on with the action I'm looking for. Going to be picking up many more. Good job Picasso & Aaron.

Comments: The plastic is too thin and soft. There's no action to it, no wobble, it just drags in the water. Get some Jenko's instead.

Comments: Look no further best scrounger oscillating jig to be brought to market. First i'll start with attributes of the jighead that make it superior from any previous models released. Starting from the top of the head working on down to the hook . The top of the head has the correct round oblate shape to mate with the vane "bill" to ossilate the jig correctly. Next just past the hook eye is a triangular or rhino horn projection that inhances the cupping of the bill to provide superior ossilation especially at slower speeds. This horns pointed pointed tip is a great indicator that the bill is rigged symmetrically. Another supperior feature is the deep bill retention groove which keeps the vane cupped or seated without any worries its going to shift . Along the backside of the head it is concaved to nestle and protect plastics from getting pulled down. Finally the smooth reversed taper keeper shaft locks soft plastic trailers on along with the ability to rig smaller diameter baits. The business end of the head is further perfected by picasso by using sticky strong gama hooks. Finally to round out this stellar lures heartbeat picasso is using a formula of bill material that is soft and springy which is reminscent of the bill material that was used on the saltwater scroungers of 30 years ago. This is a lure system because the head comes with different bill thickness to dial in the action from a tight wiggle to a wide rolling action depending on fish mood and conditions. Finally picasso has thought of evertything since they sell bills sperartely in 5 packs. I give this scrounger a 6 star rating out of a 5 star scale. Picasso you hit this one out of the park!!!!!!!!

Comments: These scrounger style jigheads are far superior to anything that's been on the market. The triangle or rhino horn cups the bill material more giving the bait better action at slower speeds. The duraseal coating on the plain and white heads prevents the head from oxidizing. The tapered collar holds thinner baits without splitting them. The back of the head is concaved to nestle baits so they are more compact am so they won't pull down the shank. Picasso has replacement bills that come with the bait that are different thicknesses so the bait action can be dialed in to a tight wiggle to a wider wobble depending on water temps and what the fish want. The bill material itself is far superior to what's out there. It is a softer more resilient material that bounces or springs when flexed remincent of the material of old school salt water scroungers. Picasso has replacement bills that can be bought on their website so the right bill to suijin can always be on the ready. If you are new to replacing bills on suijins or scroungers check out Picasso's facebook page on how to Cap or replace a bill. Finally the gama hooks are sticky sharp . There's no luck(lucky strike) in these far superior osillating cranking jigs I would highly recommend these to anyone

Comments: The difference is all in the bill material making it absolutely the best scrounger on the market. Keep in mind it comes with two bills and each are different, which makes the Suijin more of a "Bait system" allowing you to fine tune your presentation to the conditions.
