Comments: This is a fantastic reel option for those that are unable or unwilling to pay for the Quantum Smoke S3. The reel is very versatile! I use it specifically on my Denali Kovert 7' 3" Medium Heavy Moderate Fast Casting Rod for throwing lipless crankbaits. This reel has a smooth drag system and is so easy to set up for whatever technique you might be using. I highly recommend this reel to anyone that is looking for a solid casting reel option for $120 or less.

Comments: This Reel is an amazing surprise! For no real reason I've bought every brand reel out there except Quantum...I was at a sporting goods store looking at reels and really didn't need another one when the salesman told me to take a look at this Reel, I was impressed by how smooth it was so I bought it, it's an awesome reel, cast a mile and is smooth cranking, I liked it so much I bought another one.

Comments: Great performance at a good price. Casts almost as far as my chronarch MGL at a fraction of the cost. The fit and finish is a tad sloppy, but it is $119 ! My only issue is the side plates scratch fairly easy. If this reel had the same paint quality as the smoke s3 (amazing reel), it would be 5/5. Overall a great purchase and I would give it 4.5/5 because of the paint durability. I am pretty rough on my gear, so keep that in mind. Also, the 6.3:1 has good power for high resistance baits. Really enjoy the Energy s3. If you're fed up with over priced equipment or can't afford a $300 reel, give this a try. I wouldn't hesitate buy another one.
