Overview
Designed to switch freely between topwater actions just like a switch hitter, the RAID Japan Scratch can be retrieved to search a wide area with powerful ripples on the surface or cast to pinpoint locations to readily perform 180-degree turns when twitching. Built with a distinctive cupped gill area that creates natural popping and splashing sounds, the Scratch is a versatile and bold topwater plug that coaxes healthy fish to rise to the surface for a closer look.
The Scratch has a thick inner body wall compared to conventional topwater plugs that distributes the center of gravity throughout the body, attracting fish with tons of water displacement that suggests its presence from the moment it hits the water. By removing the rear hook, the Scratch exhibits even greater turning performance, which makes it ideal for targeting bass around overhanging cover, docks, and bushes. Compatible with medium or medium-heavy class bass tackle, the RAID Japan Scratch is designed to perform well even with fluorocarbon, but braided line or thicker nylon brings out its full potential.
