Comments: Awesome Crankbait. Runs well in the water when retrieving. Bass love it.
From: Hawk: 9/22/23
Comments: This bait is just dangerous.
From: Roy : North Carolina 8/25/23
Comments: Haven't got to use this bait quite yet. But I've had good success on tiny in the prespawn. But.. for everyone saying the hooks are too large, they are not. This bait was intended to have larger hooks to cause it to have more of a slow rise or suspend in cold water. If it had smaller hooks it would rise to the surface too fast because the bait is a pretty good chunk of balsa wood which has high buoyancy. and everyone saying they break of the lips pop off, First stop slapping it on the water every time you get grass or a stick on it, two remember it is a balsa bait. You will sacrifice the durability of plastic for the lifelike action of balsa wood.

Comments: Great crankbait. Only thing is it tends to hang up when fished through laydowns.
From: Unknown: 4/30/23
Comments: Wow I'm actually shocked at how poorly made this crank is made. I love the DT series and have never had an issue with the build but this bait apparently breaks too easily. Read the reviews. I was fishing one today. I got a little grass in my hooks so I slap my bait in the water to get the grass off. Big mistake. The bait separated at the bill. In 30 years I have never ever had a bait break like that from a simple slap on the water. Imagine what an 8 pounder thrashing it's head would do to these things. Ott I expected better than this.

Comments: The rapala OG slim series packs a punch at a great price. Unbeatable action and color selection make this a no brainer for anyone looking to step their game up.
From: Jake C. : Lake Fork, TX 1/10/23
Comments: Great price! Hooks are pretty good right out of the box. 10lb fluorocarbon+OG Slim=good day! Great service from TW, also!
From: Blake: South Carolina 1/9/23
Comments: Great crankbait, reasonably priced, great service from TW as always.
From: Unknown: 10/30/22
Comments: Incredible crank bait at fair price. Used with 10lb fluorocarbon it is a cold water bass catching go to bait.
From: Charlie : Lake Erie 10/15/22
Comments: This is by far one of the best crank baits I have used in a long time, life like action as it moves through the water and cranks easy.
From: Wes: Melville, LA 7/14/22
Comments: Amazing crank bait. Great action, can really feel it coming through cover, have several colors and has become a staple for me on shallow cranking.
From: Nathaniel: Arizona 5/27/22
Comments: I dig the tremendous action of this bait. It did split along the side after hitting a power pole but never effected the action. Still caught fish with it. Bought a few more to keep at the ready.
From: Gabriel: Huntington Beach, CA 5/21/22
Comments: It runs good and has good action. It caught me a couple the first day I took it out, I'll probably buy a couple more colors.
From: AC: Tenessee 5/6/22
Comments: Great crankbait. Casts well. I use the Bad Shad color. Works very well in lakes that have a shad spawn.
From: Rick: Florida 5/4/22
Comments: This bait is a fish catcher for sure. I like the action of this bait and it has the ability to come through rocks extremely well. I like the color choices. Hooks are sticky sharp and stoudt. I will say I had one where the bill did pull right out of the body so there maybe a quality issue there but other then that it's a great bait.
From: clint : 5/2/22
Comments: Good search bait..... runs great....will catch you fish....only negative I have to say about it is..... The OG has never seen a piece of wood that it didn't like.... If you are fishing stumps or wood this bait will test your Jesus for sure......
From: Johnny: HAWESVILLE 5/1/22
Comments: Decent crank but bad quality. Had one where on my second cast it broke off from the lip. Tied another one on and it lasted maybe 20 cast and it split horizontally. Im done with this bait..
From: CJ: Wisconsin 4/30/22
Comments: I liked the action of the bait. But it did not last long... The bill insert broke off the body after about 15 cast.
From: Andrew: Illinois 4/18/22
Comments: Rapala and Ott Defoe has done an amazing job at creating baits that work and affordable, and I have quite a few OG Slims and OG Tinyâs in multiple colors and I love the action on both and so do the fish. Tackle Warehouse has never let me down, even when things were difficult.
From: Will : Raleigh NC 4/17/22
Comments: Have made several trips to Sam Rayburn first quarter 2022, and this bait has done exceptionally well. No issue with breakage. Best colors for me have been Hot Copper Green Shad, and Green Gizzard Shad.
From: Clark: Houston, TX 4/11/22
Comments: Mine split in half where the bill was inserted into the balsa wood body. The bottom half with the hooks sunk to the bottom. This $10 lure was brand new and may have been cast 4 times. Needless to say I was disappointed.
From: Scott : Rainbow City 4/4/22
Comments: Otter done a bang up job on this one all you need to do is open it and start throwing it nothing extra great bait.
From: Charles: NC 4/4/22
Comments: Great cold water lure. Haven't had them long, but have caught fish each time I've used the lure. Don't have to modify a thing - the hooks are super too. Not everything one tries stays in the arsenal- the slim 6 surely will remain.
From: Unknown: 3/26/22
Comments: Great shallow crank. Cast well, sticky sharp hooks.
From: Unknown: 3/25/22
Comments: The Bait is awesome straight out the package great profile Real tight wobble winter summer it don't matter this bait flat out catches fish
From: Joel: Yuma, AZ 3/25/22
Comments: This bait replaces the DT FLAT that was a very good bait but this bait is too light and buoyant to be effective in colder water where I like to use the flat sided crankbaits. Would not recommend.
From: Alton: Noble, OK 3/11/22
Comments: The Otts Garage Slim 06 Crankbait works great for colder water temps. Tight wiggle, straight and true running catches bass easily in those winter-like waters. You cannot beat the crankbait color offerings.
From: David: Chapin, SC 2/25/22
Comments: Not so sure about this one. I bought one of these to try cause I really liked the idea of a tight wobbling crankbait. Though I couldn't catch a fish on this. I'm not bashing this bait because I have seen tournaments won on this bait, but for me I won't be buying anymore. I couldn't catch them on this, but slayed them on a DT6 in the same color. This and a DT6 go the same depth, and the DT6 is a smaller bait. So I will be sticking to DT6's for my finesse cranking needs.
From: Dylan: Minessota 2/2/22
Comments: Great colors etc but smacked it on the water to remove grass and it broke after about 10 casts
From: Mike: Henderson, NV 1/22/22
Comments: Great bait. Perfect cold water shad imitator that I will always have tied on!
From: Bill: Vidalia, LA 1/20/22
Comments: Nice bait but it's just a remake of Rapala's fairly recent DT Flat. Now with a better circuit bill. Pretty sure it didn't come out of Ott's garage... kinda cheesy. Decent colors and a solid, durable bait. Runs well and catches em.
From: Dingus: AZ 1/13/22
Comments: Excellent crankbait! Great action, castability is top notch for balsa bait. NOT JUST A COLD WATER BAIT! If your complaining about hooks stop writing reviews...PLZ. This like the DT series will be a staple in fishing as long as man lives. I've fished most flatside crankbaits and this IS the best one! Bar none
From: Clear water or bust: 1/4/22
Comments: Great cold and shallow water bait. Tight wobble crank bait. Hook up ratio was good. Castability was very good. Didn't seam to get hung up in the rocks at all. But trees on the other hand not so great. It hung up on every tree I fished by. I would definitely recommend this bait to anyone looking for something a little bit different then what everyone else is throwing. Good luck and good hooksets yall
From: Adam: Texas 12/29/21
Comments: I just purchased this crankbait and man it looks good in the water, really tight and nice Wiggle. I plan on fishing this bait a lot. Love the colors.
From: Unknown : Fayetteville, NC 12/15/21
Comments: Great cold water crankbait, learned about it from Tactical Bassin and was not disappointed in the attention it gets when "burn burn burn pause". My only issue is the hooks could be better matched to the lure size and the split rings absolutely are garbage. I actually was able to free the lure from a snag by bending out a split ring using only 10 lb test. Throw some Owner or Spro split rings and a size smaller Owner or Gamakatsu hooks and you're good to go.
From: Unknown: 11/30/21
Comments: This is a great flat side crankbait that seems to get bit quite well. Like all balsa baits don't try to slap the grass off or they will eventually break. I wish they made this bait in the Ike's Caribbean Shad color as well. My only complaint is that the hooks this bait comes stock with are way to heavy and need to be replaced especially if you are throwing this on lighter line.
From: Wade: Idaho 11/12/21
Comments: Loved the action of the bait and caught several three-pound class large mouth during the fall transition. I will buy more!
From: Tim: Beaver, WV 11/4/21
Comments: OG Slim delivers nicely for a flat sided balsa around cover & bumping off wood. Highly recommend for serious balsa crackers! Great Price point as well for balsa!
From: Michael: Ashville, AL 11/4/21
Comments: It is a good addition to my Rapala arsenal to complement the DT line up. I try both to identify what the fish want. This past weekend during tough conditions the slim 06 worked better.
From: Rafamar: Mty, NL, Mexico 11/4/21
Comments: OG Slim 6 runs and casts great straight out of the package. Colors and finishes are top notch. Seems to work best in cooler water of spring and late fall.
From: WD: Tennessee 10/11/21
Comments: Great bait in colder water. In my opinion better than a frittside. Unfortunately bumping stumps with it I got hung up and lost it but will be purchasing a lot more to fulfill my arsenal
From: Gage: Kearney, NB 10/5/21
Comments: One of the best flat sides on the market BECAUSE of its castability. Just one of those baits that just catches em'. Extremely hard to hang up. 10/10 would recommend in all seasons.
From: Daren: Waverly, TN 9/26/21
Comments: great action around the grass. I purchased fritzside and was totally unimpressed but, this bait cast great in the wind.
From: Kaven: Unknown 8/29/21
Comments: Lots of good press got my interest, I’ve been using rapala lures over 60 years. I was confident in quality even before receiving several. But in fishing it proved there worth. Spring was successful while heat of the summer not so much. Great lure
From: Bryan: Unknown 7/16/21
Comments: Great river bait in clear or dirty water have caught several 5 & 6 lb bass can't wait to try new dt 8 & brat
From: Roger: Kerrville, TX 8/20/21
Comments: great color pattern, works great, love the rocking action. Would recommend this bait to crankbait fishermen
From: Unknown: 8/2/21
Comments: Awesome lure, super cool action. Caught a nice 3# on my third cast with this lure. Unfortunately, I lost it in a tree. Gonna have to get another one
From: Scott: FT Wayne 7/30/21
Comments: The OG Slim 06 is a must for Springtime Cranking when the water is in the 45-55 degree range. It has a subtle tight wobble. I like the way it tracks and love cranking it on rock. The construction of the diving bill makes it deflect quickly off of rocks that cause a reaction strike. The crawdad colors are my go to colors in the Spring. I'm Looking forward to other colors that will be out in this crankbait in the near future.
From: Ron: Chilhowie, VA 7/12/21
Comments: I tried the baits out and they look to run true , I like the colors but have yet to catch a fish. Looking forward to much cooler water to see how they really perform . Been using the Rapala starting when I was 8 am now 67 . Have no doubt they will work perfect .
From: Hershel: North Carolina 7/11/21
Comments: Awesome crank bait so far. Great in cold water but also makes the big ones bit in high pressure situations. Try it out if you haven't. You won't regret it.
From: Unknown 7/9/21
Comments: This is a great silent flat side crankbait! I've caught tons of big bass on it. It's perfect when a rattle crank isn't getting hit. The shad patterns are spot on and the slow rise helps. This is one of my top big bass producing baits. I do swap the hooks tho.
From: Chase: Oklahoma City, OK 7/1/21
Comments: I don't get the negativity around this bait?! I admit that I haven't fished it a lot - haven't even fished it from a boat deck yet. But I have fished it from the bank on a heavily pressured "pond" if you will and caught one the very first cast. They offer great variety in colors. It runs pretty true and tight as has been mentioned. You can kill the bait and let it float above vegetation or brush piles. I'm excited to try it some more - but I like what I've seen from it so far.
From: James Twitchell: Indiana 4/28/21
Comments: Nice finish and tight wiggle. Wife used over the weekend and caught several.
From: Melvin: Mansfield 3/21/21
Comments:Awesome tight wiggle! The balsa wood allows it to float which has got be out of a lot of under water trees. Great bait!
From: Tim: Imperial Beach, CA 3/14/21
Comments: Not what I expected, Would buy again but I had had two get crack bills from bouncing them of the rocks. They catch fish but I do not think they are any better than most baits.
From: Harold 3/14/21
Comments: Cast's good, tight wiggle.
From: Ken: South Carolina 3/10/21
Comments: Great bait. I bought 3. Fished 2. They run true. Nice tight wobble. Got the garage looking paint vs a factory sprayed one. I'm stoked.
From: Backlash 2 Bites 2/19/21
Comments: Received 6 OGs and got to try a couple this past week...To be honest im disappointed. The bait is larger than i had pictured in my head and the action is tight but not impressive and seems kinda bland. Time will tell how they do...seem to be well made and durable.
From: G dub: Greensboro, NC 2/19/21
Comments: Junk I had Hi hopes for this bait had to turn eye 45 degs to get it to run straight and they have no movement I bought 6 of them all are bad!
From: Elite: AL 2/18/21
Comments: With all the hype from Rapala & Otts videos I expected something like a Eddy Chambers (EWC) old school flat side like the " little duck" or "ugly duck" lures that have proven themselves , along with winning so much money in those southeastern states. This lure is nothing else but the old "DT Flat side 9 " with the line tie coming out of the nose and a circuit board lip. There's only so many different ways to make a flat side bait but there are many different ways to market one. Steve Blazers original is still the best ever. Extremely disappointed in this lure and with rapala you would think with all that Tec knowledge we have they would come up with really something great. WOW
From: James: Las Vegas, NV 2/12/21
Comments: Pretty good flatside, but not a great flatside. Out of the box you need to change split rings. The hooks are to stout unless you are throwing braid on a flipping stick. Over all it's a decent price for a balsa flatside that swims decent. Dives 5-6 feet for me.
From: Unknown: 1/23/21
Comments: It's not a bad bait. But not a great bait either. It swims decent but there are better balsa flat sides out there. Over all I would keep a few in the boat for cold weather. Need to change the hooks unless you are throwing a flipping stick, because they are extremely heavy wire.
From: Jeremy: Georgia 1/23/21
Comments: Got one of these after Matt Allen of Tactical Bassin showcases it in a video. Great action and stays stable while burning it on a stop and go retrieve. In my experience it would kick out one direction or the other during such retrieves which triggered quite a few bass to chase or at least come in for a look. The only negative I have is that while it uses fairly stout hooks the split rings are hot garbage. I got snagged and figured I was losing the lure but ended up straightening out the rear split ring on a straight pull with only 10lb test fluorocarbon. Definitely upgrade at a minimum the split rings to owner hyperwires in a size 3.
From: Unknown: 1/16/21
Comments: Just got one to try it out recently and first off I took a sos pad to dull the shine since it's winter by me but threw it on 10lbs Fluor around Kay downs and rock and it runs true outta the package & the hooks are beefy VMC hooks I wasn't hitting 6' depth as advertised but the bait straight caught em for me, it's subtle and a great option for cold water & pressured fish.
