Need this size with a shallow lipI’ve used these for years and agree they don’t get love they deserve. I’ve fished them as is and I’ve modified the lip on them to get a shallow running version. Similar to the wee craw but bigger profile and you can throw them on casting tackle. Rebel should produce a model like this. Big bass eat them.

Comments: I honestly do not know how these cranks don't get more love because they are phenomenal! I can only guess it's because they're not made by Megabass or Strike King. These things thump HARD! The wide bill coupled with narrow body gives it a wide thumping wobble that deflects as good if not better than the best squarebills. I love throwing these things into big laydowns and bringing them on out, usually with a fish attached. Replace the hooks with triple grips and they come thru the thickest cover where bass rarely see a crank bait. I agree with the other poster that these can go deeper than 10ft. Oh, another thing, bass crush these. I've gotten some of the hardest strikes with these. Could go on and on... just a great bait!

Comments: One of the most effective baits for smallmouth that I've used. I fish primarily in a very clear, rocky lake & I troll around with these from late spring to early fall. The ditch brown color has worked the best for me. I would just note that the hooks that come with these tend to be a bit weak, so I replace them with Gamakatsu round bends. Also, these definitely get deeper than 8-10 feet as advertised. I nick the bottom sometimes around 14-15 feet, and that's on 12lb mono. With fluro it could probably reach 16-17 feet.
