Comments: I bought 2 of these to go on my Shimano Curado 71HG. The grips on the Curado 70/71 reel is too thin for my liking. Also I use the regular Reel Grips on all my baitcast and spinning reels. The regular Reel Grips are too wide inside diameter to have a snug fit on the Curado 71 handle grips, so they slip when the grips are installed. The inside diameter on the Reel Grips X goes on perfectly. Since the Curado 71 grips taper down, there is space inside the Grips X on the bottom of the grip, but the top is snug. Also the Grips X nubs actually feels good on the fingers and the nubs gives it just the right amount of girth to feel comfortable for me. I happen to have gotten 2 of the yellow/black Grips X. Hopefully Reel Grips will come out with more colors for the Grips X like on the regular Reel Grips.
