Overview

A highly effective blend of versatility, action, and an inviting profile, the Roboworm Sculpins will catch just about any species of predator in any waterway. Relying on a proven, sculpin-style body type, they appeal to an incredibly wide variety of fish to keep your rod more consistently bent. They start with a detailed head that sports molded eyes and gills before transitioning to a lifelike lateral line pattern that terminates with a lively quivering tail. In addition to the irresistible profile, the Sculpins also employ Roboworm’s Salt Release System that leeches flavorful salt in the water to expand your strike zone and implore the bass to hang on longer when they strike. Available in some of Roboworm’s most effective color patterns, the Roboworm Sculpins will help put a limit in the boat in even the most challenging conditions.

Not as good as the Special FXThis is one of my go to baits for drop shot. It was originally cast as the Sculpin Special FX which had 3d bubbles or offset color injected into the bottom sides. The Special FX sculpin was the only drop shot bait I would use. Now the reboot is a good bait it is still a go to but not as good as the FX was. Aaron’s magic FX was a killer in any condition. I would pay a few dollars more for FX if Roboworm would re-release them.

Still good, used to be awesomeThis worm got rebooted a short while ago, and it lost something in the process. Roboworm used to make these worms in the SpecialFX series, and they were amazing color worms in clear water (Natural Shad and Baby Bass) and stained water (Ayu, Baby Bass and Sculpin). Unfortunately Roboworm discontinued all those colors. The current version have established-but-boring colors and will still catch a lot of fish, but the magic is gone. And there is a hole in the lineup now because there isn't a dark color worm with a white belly anymore (the "Sculpin" color did exactly that before). These days, I'd start with Oxblood, A’s Magic or Hologram Shad depending on the conditions. And I really hope they bring back a dark color worm with a white belly in the future. (Hologram Shad is not great to throw in stained water.)

Amazing for bass!I have taken this out only a few times now, but both Smallies and Largies go crazy for it, definitely worth using!

Comments: After seeing the Color Green Pumkin Perch I had to get me a pack. The problem I noticed was this is not buoyant enough. You almost have to constantly work the worm to get life out of it. This is a bait I'd use in summer when aggressive action is needed.
