Comments: There is a very good reason these went out of stock so quickly after a long hiatus. This is the closest thing to using a live shad I've seen. And it seems the fish agree with me. They are extremely realistic, swim perfectly straight, and have a decent jig hook on them. I personally like to remove the treble hook from the bottom in order to give them a cleaner appearance and decrease snagging. My only suggestion is for Salmo to offer a couple more sizes - one smaller and one larger. Then we can "match the hatch" even more closely. Bass can be every bit as particular as trout about what they are eating. If the shad are 2 inches long your 4-5 inch bait can get completely ignored! Please TW, stock more of these next time. I need to make an A-rig or two with the small size - should be deadly!!!

Comments: With the exception of a couple things, Salmo absolutely killed it with this swimbait! First off the good. This finish on this thing is as lifelike as they come and it's only $10! It has a premium treble and the swimming action is perfect. But now for the negative. It's not very durable at all. The plastic was tearing along the jig hook before even catching a fish on it. After 2 small fish the bottom swivel harness had came out of the body! I glued it back up so hopefully I catch a few more on it. But my biggest complaint is that the biggest they make this is a 4.7" version. This would be killer in 6" and above.
