Overview
Molded after a 3D scan of a real snake, the Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait offers the perfect baby snake imitation with the most realist swimming topwater action. Featuring a multi jointed body that is linked together with a unique cable system, the Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait swims across the surface with a wide slithering S action that accurately mimics a vulnerable baby snake swimming in open water. The Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait also features two different line ties, which gives anglers the option to wake it across the surface or just below the surface depending on the conditions and the mood of the fish.
From tip-to-tail, the Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait is covered in unbelievable lifelike details, like textured scale patterns, 3D eyes, and a high quality paint job that will make you and the fish think it is actually the real thing. The Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait is also fitted with two razor sharp EWG treble hooks that are attached by swiveling hook hangers, which provides a tremendous hook-up and landing ratio. Offered in a selection of natural colors, the Savage Gear 3D Snake Wakebait delivers a unique topwater presentation that capitalizes on the opportunistic nature of big bass.

Comments: Great lifelike action especially good in calm water. Bass hit it like they are angry at it. 2 of my biggest bass of the year have come on the wakesnake.

Comments: Fished the 12" all this year. I kind of think the rattles are corny and not needed, but fish bit this. Nothing big, but fun to fish and fun to catch them on.

Comments: Action is pretty good. It's just a little bulky for my liking and it's obviously not weedless at all. I like the LFT hissyfit. A little more subtle and much more weedless. The snakes are in the grass where I am, so I need weedless!

Comments: Fished the smaller version at table rock in the middle of the spawn. It was one of the few baits that consistently was able to get attention from the males guarding. I think the one concern that is going to be a problem is just hook up ratio. If there were even a small treble on the tail I could see that resolving everything. As of now, prepare to lose 2/3 fish.

Comments: Recived the Savage gear snake a couple days ago. Although I haven't fished it yet. I did have a few minutes time to make a few casts With it to see how it swam. Seems to have very good action. Looks to bewell made. I got the 8' size. What I find odd is the width. The head and first section are 3/4' thick. In all my years I have never seen a 8' snake that thick trying not to imagine the size of The 12'. And this was suppose to be made with a 3d scan. The fish probably won'˙t care but it does look a little odd size wise. Not sure what brand hooks are on these but they seem to be of high quality.

Comments: Received the Brown/Chrome snake and the color combination of the chrome blended into the brown is awesome. It looks like an iridescent finish I've seen on real snakes. Or at least it's close. I bought the 12 inch snake. I'm ready for snake weather! These snakes are realistic as all get out. Great paint jobs. Very impressive lure.

Comments: I got the 8 in rattlesnake color one and all I can say is that it looks great in the water but it is winter and the bass are just a little too sluggish to eat it so I cannot wait till summer.

Comments: Received my two 3D Snake Wakebaits the 8 inch blacksnake and the 8 inch brown/chrome. These seem to be hot baits because these two sold out in a couple days. I have 6 ABT Baits Wake snakes and I like them a lot. They look real and are built tough. The Savage Gear 3D wakebait seems to be very flexible and the 1 oz. size is perfect for Med. Heavy gear. If your going for bigger bass the 12inch snake is a good size. at 2 oz. a heavy action rod would be best with the 12inch. I question the strength of the cable system used on the Savage Gear snake. Will it hold up after several hard hits? We'll see.. The cost is really a good selling point because the ABT Lures wake snakes are almost $100.00 and $26.00 for the same size Savage Gear snake. Again, the cable system joints of the Savage Gear is a question yet to be answered. It looks like the cable is tied at the tip of the snakes tail.. The hooks look really nice and the barrel swivels on the hooks are a nice feature. I like the Savage Gear 3D snakes. Everyone should have a few.
