Overview
Designed for Ned rig fishing when the bite is tough, the Savage Gear Ned Dragontail Slug is absolutely deadly during those times when you need to downsize your presentation to get bit. It moves a tremendous amount of water thanks to its hyper ribbed body to provide a big presence in the water and it produces a very enticing tail flutter with very little manipulation from the rod to seduce bites from wary bass. The Duratech material is also tuned with salt infusion for perfect buoyancy, which allows the bait to stand tail up when resting on the bottom for non-stop secondary action. Comments: Great Ned bait because it floats and is extremely durable (it's made of Duratech). It's actually got a little more shimmy than the Finesse TRD because of the ribbed body and slight taper about 2/3s the way down the bait. Agree on the colors: need something for dirty water! All that being said, caught a 3-pounder and 2.5-pounder on a highly-pressured metro lake from the bank the first time I used these (using Smallmouth Magic).

Comments: Awesome bait; it floats; it's durable and the size is perfect. The only issue I have with this bait is the available colors; they really missed the mark on that. Don't get me wrong; there are some great colors available but they really need a Black Blue Flake or Junebug for dirty water. Also I really was hoping for a Watermelon Red Flake (like in their Ned Salamander). I'll give this bait a 8/10 because of those missing colors. Otherwise it would have been a 10/10. But do not hesitate to buy this bait.
