Comments: I used this mullet and had the same problem 2 hookups with tarpon and the bait was gone just the hook left. Really good for tarpon but not very cost effective. Like this bait but they needs to hook up with a better rubber or what ever it's made from. Save your money I catch plenty on different baits and can buy a 50 pack for the price of 2 of these.

Comments: Just bought and used my first PT Mullet LB 5" white color. Pros: Heavy so u can launch it really far, perfect swimming action- falling and retrieving, good for skipping under mangroves, beefy hook, very realistic looking, weedless. Cons. Durability. After about 20 cast (mainly skipping) around mangroves there was a cut in the rubber in the head. After about 30 casts I hooked up on a decent size snook (about 30") and he spit the bait after jumping a few times- biggest issue is the rubber ripped apart where the hook 'bites' into. So the slit where the hook slides in from the bottom ripped apart, so there's just a big hollow hole from top to bottom of the bait. There's nothing for the hook to 'bite' into and hold it in place due to the rubber being ripped apart. So after casting it 2x my hook it's completely out of the mullet as you're retrieving it and the hooks just dangling next to the side. The mullet eventually flew off the screw hook and I lost it. So it's almost like a one time use if you get a big fish. If they fixed this durability issue, this thing would be unstoppable.
