Overview
Offering dual actions in one package, the Savage Gear Switch Blade Spoon perfectly imitates a small baitfish in distress and entices bites from all species of gamefish. Molded with a highly realistic shad body shape, the Savage Gear Switch Blade Spoon features two separate line tines options, which allows anglers to change the action for stronger vibrations when using a vertical yo-yo style retrieve or a wider flutter for casting and reeling. The double line tie system also gives anglers a broader range of versatility to effectively fish both deep and shallow sections of the water column with fast or slow retrieves. Armed with an incredibly sharp high carbon steel treble hook that provides a high hook up ratio, the Savage Gear Switch Blade Spoon is available in an assortment of premium hand-painted colors to match the hatch anywhere you’re fishing.

Comments: This bait bares a remarkable resemblance to a Japanese blade bait I've been using with great results for several years. Only one problem - it's rigged backwards from the bait it copies. After trying to use the Savage blade I took them home and reversed the hook and the snap. With the modification, they not only look like a Kaesu blade bait, but they will also catch fish.

Comments: I love these blade baits Smallmouth and Walleye ... They have a very interesting fall and dart action... They fall very much like a tube with a spiral in the 1/3 size ... Also an excellent darting action when you twitch the rod on the retrieve. Prior to this purchase, I have been using the KAESU KUNAI Blade Baits which are very similar.. I found the hooks to be an improvement over the Japanese version that I use.. I still found myself replacing the hooks with #4 GFinesse trouble hooks.. I don't fish around wood very often with them.. Most of my fishing is around rock and I don't seem to hang up with the treble hook. Also a great alternative for walleye. I fish this on a 6'10 snap jig walleye rod with braid to floral 10 lb. leader. .. This bait works great for tapering points and ledges where you want to get a reaction bite and move fairly quickly.. I tend to stick with 7 to 20 feet of water when using it. And fish it fairly quickly.. If you fish around a lot of rocks you will find that the paint will chip fairly quickly... It seems to be a bit better than my Japanese versions...
