Comments: I've had no issues with this bait other than the garbage hooks that have made me lose fish, over all other than that it catches fish.

Comments: Wow, this lure is awful mainly because it doesn't track straight, rather it helicopters on nearly every cast and has a weird wobble through the water column (not a good hunting action or wide wobble, it is hard to describe). I like Strike King products, but this crankbait really has a weird and disappointing action and was obviously not field tested, or there is a manufacturing issue QC department has not discovered.

Comments: From my experience, these bait works for about a half a day then somehow the internal weight comes loose from its chamber and turns it into a helicoptering one knocker!

Comments: This bait is just not good. It rolls over like a wet dog. Doesn't matter how slow or fast you reel it will roll over. If you manage to get it to swim down the first deflection will cause it to roll over. Save your cash.

Comments: Absolute junk!! Even when reeling slowly it spiraled and didn't run true. Huge waste of money. Go buy a 6th Sense Cloud 9 series with your money.
From: Dylan: MN 3/23/21
Comments: Does get squirrelly if you reel it to fast and I don't think it goes 10ft deep but besides that it does catch fish

Comments: Worthless!! Clearly did no testing.Spirals in entire retrieve.Wasted $50 bucks on these...save your money.

Comments: Im a HUGE fan of strike king anything "OYSTER" color. Fish mostly clear waters (not crystal) and their oyster (no matter the crank ) always comes through. It's gotten to be a comfort color for me .. bass large or small mouth just can't pass up what seems to be half dead/dying baitfish .. highly recommend anything strike king "oyster".

Comments:It's a great bait. but yes some have tracking issues. for those that do, take off the ring and tie directly to eyelet. then bend eyelet the opposite way it wants to run. simple fix for a crank that works so well

Comments:Bought three of these deep diver square bills. Weak action and only 1 of the 3 ran right. Strike King should of tested a few of these before putting them on the market.

Comments:I have found that many of tracking problems described by others can be eliminated by tying the lure directly to the line instead of using a snap.

Comments:Like the reviewers previously, I have bought SEVERAL (six).Of the six, one of them runs correctly. It will dive down and then roll on itself. It's annoying and I'm close to giving up on it.

Comments:Same as others. Dives 2 or 3 feet then rolls up to surface. Very disappointing because this is what I've been looking for and I love the original square bill

Comments: I have had the same issues as others, I have 4 of these and they all act funny, unless I crank them very very slow... I used this past weekend around bridge columns and the bait would move very erratically and would struggle to get it next to the columns and when it did, if it came in contact it would roll over and surface, still got bites when it would run just right, but 80% of the time it was all over the place. Not sure what the problem is, but going to mess with the bills to see if can get to run decent even if shallower... Would not recommend this specific crank, but all my other SK KVD's work great, so was surprised to see this one be such a pain...

Comments:This bait has issues tracking correctly. It will loop on the retrieve and never dive.Stopping the retrieve or a quick jerk would make it track properly again.Tried changing out the split ring to a round one instead of the one it comes with but this didn't make a difference. Also attempted to tune but it had no impact.I'm going to try a quick snap and see if that helps.I will say that when the bait tracks it digs the bottom nicely.Caught several using it and every fish landed had almost inhaled the entire bait.

Comments:I purchased one of these to try, and it does not track correctly. It dives a couple feet and rolls on itself and comes back up to the surface.I'm a big fan of SK products, but this one does not impress.

Comments:I had the same problem with this bait as another reviewer. It just did not dive much more than three feet. I didn't have problems with it rolling or coming out of the water, but I definitely didn't get it anywhere near the advertised depth. It looks great and has great action, so I hope I just got a lemon. But I feel like most SK mid depth cranks are better than this, so I'll just stick with them.

Comments:The bait is flawed, I use many strike king baits but this bait is not worth the money. I have bought 2 and both have not been able to dive more than 2 feet before bailing out and rolling. Often he bait will run straight to one side only diving 1ft even with pauses and jerks attempting to change direction.

Comments:The hooks aren't the best it is an awesome bait but it hangs up more than a conventional square bill
From: Unknown Missouri 11/17/18
Comments:Awesome bait! Wish they would make a silent one, though I do like the weight. Seem to be more affected by little bits of grass and weeds and will spin out easier, but worth it. Have caught a bunch of fish in a short time with these.

Comments:I've been impressed with the 1.5DD SB thus far. Strike King produces many solid baits and based upon my experience this is going to be a mainstay in many angler's plug boxes. When I received the package I was pleasantly surprised that the hooks were, in fact, good. I've many Strike King crankbaits and the first thing you have to replace is the sub-par hooks. Not so with these. I used them to practice with and even felt confident enough to use them in a tournament, in which the hooks (as well as the bait) didn't disappoint. I've now used this bait extensively and it produces. The one "Con" I've found is sometimes the bait will loop to loop on the retrieve. Give the bait a jerk and it returns to running as it should. Overall I've been impressed with the DD Squarebill and I feel like Strike King has produced a winner.
