Overview
An innovative buzzbait engineered in collaboration with arguably the most proficient skipping anglers of all time, the Strike King Skipping Buzzbait was designed by Major League Fishing pro Andy Montgomery with features specifically aimed at targeting out-of-reach fish in places few baits will go. Pre-rigged in the package with a Strike King Rage Toad, this game-changing buzzbait features an internal head design with bait keeper barbs that secure the body of the toad directly to the frame. Included with a spare matching Rage Swimmer, anglers are equipped with two forage options that provide a broad surface area ideal for skipping under docks and overhanging cover. Built with a heavy wire construction to direct fish away from cover, the Strike King Skipping Buzzbait is reinforced so it doesn’t bend out of shape after multiple fish catches.

Comments: Great idea and concept but falls short in my opinion. Runs sideways esp with the swim bait and I hate to say it but I barely could hear the thing on the lake and when your done fishing it you can't hang it in a normal spinnerbait/buzz bait box because it can't hang with the extra wire that's keeps its form. Oh well, I like Andy's Lew's skipping reel at least.

Comments: I'm having the same issue as the guy below. The concept of this is great but I can never get it to run true. With the swimmer or the frog on this bait wants to run on its side. I have had this issue on two different skipping buzzbaits both never ran true.

Comments: Was excited to try this, love buzzbaits, love slipping, big AM fan. But I can't get this thing to run true one bit. Unless it's retrieved at glacial speed, it flops over and runs sideways. I tried both the included Frog and Swimbait with similar results. Not sure if I just got a bad one, or if a rigging issue, but will try it again this weekend with some different trailers. Update: Have tried multiple trailers, cannot get this to run true. It skips like a dream, but retrieves like a nightmare :(. I think it's the keeper, it's so big it basically destroys the head of whatever trailer you put on it, which contributes to the flopped over retrieve.
