Comments: Purchased this rod intentionally of using it for shakeyhead fishing. Really thought I ordered a medium heavy turns out its a medium. Too limber for a shakey head when I went too try it. It's more of a jerkbait small crank bait or swim bait rod. I will say I tried it skipping wackey rigged stick baits under docks. Which worked out awesome down fail i lost 2 fish from the rod being so limber. So i tied a small crankbait which this rod will cast them a country mile though. So I will see how it turns out. At first I was not sure about buying a rod online. Not saying it's tacklewarehouse.com fault but for now on out I shop at the stores and see what I like then price check on line. Lesson learned on that.

Comments: I have the 7'0 M and MH, and the 7'6 M. These rods are excellent for inshore but the power ratings feel on the heavier side. I ended up selling my MH model and only use medium even for inshore in Florida. The 7'6 M is everything Salt Strong claims it is and the 7'0m is great for topwater spooks and poppers. I can cast a 1/16oz weight hook with a 3" fluke a mile on the 7'6 but not the 7'0. They are great for inshore and look sharp with quality cork. The sensitivity isn't quite on par with most bass rods in this price range and coming from some low-end Dobyns Models and the 13 Fate and Omen models there was a feel of sensitivity lacking that you would want from a bass rod. At the end of the day, these are absolutely my go to rods for inshore but they rarely ever make it on my boat when bass fishing, even after trying a casting model. If you are looking for a top tier inshore rod in this price range then this is what I would highly recommend along with the 13 omen green rods. If you're looking for a spinning rod for bass at this price point then I'd point you towards the Dobyns Fury or Kaden, St. Croix Bass X, or the 13 Fate or Omen series.
