Overview
These beautiful fire hardened glass beads from Top Brass Tackle are precision cut and polished to produce flat, light reflective surfaces that are sure to attract attention. The central hole is cleanly bored and polished so there is no danger to your line when you use these glass beads. Glass beads are often used between a weight and the knot you use to tie on any terminal tackle, such as a hook or a swivel to protect the knot from potential damage caused by the weight hammering on the knot. Glass beads also give sound to your rig when used this way, since the weight will create a clicking sound when it contacts the glass bead that carries well underwater and resembles the sound of a crayfish moving. Try a brass bullet weight for maximum noise since the brass is harder it will create a sharper, louder clacking sound.

They cut your lineI used these last weekend fishing and the beads frayed and then cut my line. I then took 10 minutes and tried 4 more beads by putting them on the fluro line and slide them back and forth. They all frayed my line and then finally cut it. This was done on 20 lbs. Fluro line.

Comments: These glass beads are really nice! I have the black & I have the crayfish color & I like them a lot. I want the clear, crystal & crystal flash ones next. I have been using these for 2yrs & have fished hard with these on Carolina-Rigs & Texas -Rigs (down by the hook) with both lead & tungsten weights up to 1/2 oz banging off of these beads & have not had one break yet! Personally I think you'd have to smash one with a hammer to get one to break! Great product! I only wish the holes were a little larger so the knot on say 40lb braid would fit inside the hole to protect the knot.
