Overview
The Trapper Tackle Dropshot Hooks are part of the new Trapper Hook line up, winners of the 2016 ICAST Best of Show Terminal Tackle Award. Designed to improve both bait and fish retention, the new Trapper Tackle Drop Shot Hooks allow you to make more casts and land more fish thanks to their patented Trapper Box design. Perfect for natural, artificial and even live baits, the Trapper Box design locks your bait in its proper position so you need to re-rig less and can spend more time making perfect presentations. The patented design also makes it more difficult for fish to throw the hook, and sticky sharp Piercing Points help deliver rock solid hooksets. A great choice for drop shot rigs and wacky rigs, re-rig less and catch more fish with the Trapper Tackle Dropshot Hooks.

Comments: I personally like the size 1 or 1/0. Anything smaller or bigger just doesn't fit the finesse technique well. I can honestly say any fish under 2lbs is dead locked in the head with this hook. Once you start Hitting the 3-5lb range you still need to rely on technique and drag because that 90° bend doesn't work on big fish unless they're lipped hooked. I've had shakers on all hooks but personally these are the ones I like right now. They are on the soft side and bend out easily and are difficult to get out. Make sure you have pliers like everyone said. Plus last thing is they're the cheapest on TW. I bought 60 hooks just to have for the next few seasons.

Comments: Love the unique shape of this hook. Have caught some fish on them but I believe I got some a little to small. I got them in a lucky tackle box and will be ordering more.

Comments: I have been using Trapper Tackle dropshot hooks since they were first released. I primarily use them for dropshot and wacky rig. The hooks are extremely sharp and they lock the fish in the box. Once you have the fish hooked, they are unable to shake the hook. This results in more fish landed.

Comments: Excellent hook. Has increased my number of fish in the boat. Can't say enough good things. I am selling all my other hooks and going to nothing but Trapper!

Comments: The only hook I trust for drop shot and wacky rigs. If you like to use live bait, these hooks will really shine for you! They not only hold artificial baits in place they are top notch for live bait fishing for crappie and perch. I personally recommend the 1/0 for drop shotting, any size you're comfortable with for live bait depending on the situation and the 2/0 for wacky rigging. If you look to increase your hook up ratio and landing ratio, I highly recommend these hooks. You will not be disappointed!

Comments: These hooks are crazy sharp! The dropshot hook pins so tight you have to have pliers in the boat. If they lock into the roof of fishes mouth you can't roll the hook out! You have to lift the hook strait up and push it back before you can pull it out. I like em' they're worth the money for sure.

Comments: The trapper drop shot hook is the real deal. It helped me at the WWB pro/am secure a top 10 finish. I was ds yhe 1/0 and 2/0 hooks and did not have a fish come unbuttoned. I highly recommend you try these hooks.

Comments: Very awesome hook! I literally tried to lose small ones and they won't come off! Caught an 8 pounder on the dropshot hook throwing a wacky rig. The wide gap are great too. 10/10

Comments: I agree with Jason. You better have a pair of pliers to pull these hooks out. They plain out stick the fish. They come through the weeds better than any hook and stay sharp too. These have become my go to drop shot hooks

Comments: I was a little hesitant in trying these but man these are incredible! The only problem is getting the hook out of the fish and you better have a good set of needle nose pliers.

Comments: I rarely dropshot bc of the water clarity in my area, but I've been trying to learn. So when I got a pack of these from a subscription box, I decided to try again. I was fishing a bunch of stumps and using 15# fluoro (all I had). The presentation was good, and the bait stayed in place. I was somewhat surprised when I pulled free from a snag and found that I had straightened the hook! Actually did this three times and the hook still seems surprisingly sharp.

Comments: These Hooks are extremely sharp. It is all down hill from there, if you get a strike, or if you get a snag it does not matter. THEY WILL SHATTER. (Hooks shattered on a 6'10" Ugly Stick spinning rod)

Comments: I've been kinda hating on these hooks since I first saw them but man was I wrong. I got some of the drop shot hooks in my mtb box and have been using them exclusively for a month. I drop shot a lot in the summer but I've never really trusted any of the hooks I've used and I've tried a lot. My hookup ratio probably went from 70% to at least 95% plus. They are something special. I just ordered some ewg's and if I still fill the same I'm going to get the trebles too.

Comments: So a friend recommended trying them and I heard mixed reviews about them. Some folks said the fish would come right off while the other said they haven't lost a fish. I was hesitant but I picked up a pack in a 2/0 drop shot. Went to a lake I never been on so I decided to try the hook I never used before. Man, my only complaint is how hard they are to get out of a fish! I have yet to loose a fish on one of these hooks. Caught a 4 1/2 lb bass and was in tight quarter between two docks and handled well. I can't dig these hooks out with my hands so if you grab a set Better have some pillars to pull the hook out. Extremely sharp too, had a fish wiggle and the hook slit my knuckles open pretty good. Will be switching to these hooks from now on.
