Comments: Still have the first Ugly Stik from 1976. Probably have 30 odd ones from Big Water, to Tiger, to Ugly, to Lite, to Pro Lite, to Elite, and now 4 Carbons.. Have St Croix, Daiwa, Fenwick, etc Rods as well. Love these Carbons ! Ugly Stik's are so strong ! These Carbons are light and strong, nice looking too.. I do miss the cork handle, My preferred handle , but these are My go to Rod now...

Comments: Bought this stick because I had bought a Lews and they have been so hard to deal with after it broke I just said Ill never buy another Lews product ever. Ive had these ugly sticks and still have some over 30 years and still use them this sticks works great. the rod is a little heaver than the handle which takes getting use to.

Comments: Love the rod...BUT...I wish it had a cushion for the base of your thumb. Other than that, it is well worth the $80. I like it so much that I am trying to find something to do just that...cushion the base of the thumb.

Comments: Unlike many of previous models, Ugly Stik finally came out with a rod that's worth the money. It is very lightweight to the hand (comparably to my Dobyns Sierra spinning 7' Med.). I used the Medium-Heavy and it took the load of a striper fish very well. I will (hopefully) be picking one soon, but I do wish that there are shorter rods. For the price, you can't go wrong with it. This rod beats all other competitors in sensitivity and build. It is arguably the best rod under $100, but this fishing rod will probably be low-key because of the hype from the other competitors. It is safe to say that this rod is amazing the best ugly stik spinning rod that is out right now.

Comments: Took delivery last week of my 7'3" carbon. On it's own felt super light and I love the split grip and love how the reel mounts. Paired mine with a penn battle in 4000, and it's super well balanced for how light it is, center point is right above the reel seat. Action and feel positive. Felt so much. I could tell my hook and worm got stuck before I even had to tug at it. One little flaw on the resin, and a dot of glue or resin in the very upper part of my handle but nothing that would ruin the feel or action, and I had to bent the lure hook loop just a tick to actually get my hooks through. To protect it from damage I got the rod glove 7' sleeve, a 4" elastic band for the rod glove and I got a rod glove reel cover and it all fits perfect. So far super happy with my first ever rod purchase, definitely a step up from my 20 year old daiwa I got handed down
