Overview
Designed by 2013 Bassmaster Classic Champion, Cliff Pace, the V&M Pacemaker Skipping Jig is a versatile jig that can be skipped under a variety of cover to help you get your bait in front of fish that rarely see a lure. Featuring a custom designed head with a very low center of gravity and a wide flat bottom, this design allows the Skipping Jig to be more streamlined with the trailer and also gives it a larger surface area to skip on, enabling you to effortlessly skip it under docks and overhanging trees.
Built around an oversized hook with a 30-degree line tie, it features a bigger bite than most hooks for a better hook up ratio, and the 30-degree line tie helps give you the perfect line angle for skipping. The Pacemaker Skipping Jig also features a 5/32” fiber weedguard to protect from snags, allowing you to confidently fish a variety of heavy cover. Available in a range of colors hand-selected by Cliff Pace, the V&M Pacemaker Skipping Jig is the perfect jig for attacking docks and shallow water cover.

Comments: The bluegill color paired with a green pumpkin rage grub is excellent for skipping docks. The paints durability is okay but if you hit a lot of metal posts and cross bracings it will eventually chip off. Overall this is the best skipping jig I have used and it also fishes in wood pretty decently too but don't get too cocky with it in the really gnarly stuff.

Comments: The design of this jig is great for skipping. The paint quality is not very good. Most of the paint was gone after about half a day of flipping. I've caught several fishing using this jig, but compared to another brand of jig I use for skipping, I have to tie on a new one at a much higher rate.
