Overview

A premium braid made in Japan, XBraid Sinking SS112 Braided Line offers distinct advantages over most braided lines and will take you finesse presentations to the next level. Blended with a combination of braid fibers and ester monofilament fibers, XBraid Sinking SS112 Braided Line is heavier than other braids, which causes it to sink faster to eliminate excess slack in your line and provide a more direct connection to your bait. By decreasing the amount of bow in your line, it also increases sensitivity and reduces the chances of creating wind knots. X-Braid’s proprietary XW braiding technology provides optimum consistency and a super round construction that casts smoother and is quieter when coming through your guides as well. Available in a hi-vis yellow color that is easy to see in bright or low light conditions, XBraid Sinking SS112 Braided Line is a great option for any of your favorite finesse applications.

Terrible Line.Worst, I mean the absolute worst line I've ever used. The people who import this need to take notes from everything negative that's being reported. I came here to give my two cents but seems like I'm not the only one who has paid the price for trusting this braid. I didn't think a JDM line could be this bad but what everyone is saying is true. From the breaking problems wind knots and being the loudest braid on the market. Don't waste your money, because you might as well be throwing your hard earned bills in the lake when you use this stuff.

Failure of a LineI honestly can't understand how anyone would have a good experience with this line. Multiple folks have addressed the problems this stuff has in the negative reviews and I completely will agree with everything they've said. I've had bad braids before, but this took it to a whole new level. I've never seen so many mid air breakages in casting, so much so my co angler was ready to throw his rod overboard, and yes the stuff is so so ROUGH and LOUD, if there's a fish within any catching distance, they won't be for long after this hacksaw goes through the guides. Frustrating isn't even the right word. Not worth the headache for the price you pay, and it wouldn't be worth it if it was for free!

Extreme Quality Control IssuesIt's great that some people have had good experiences with this line, but truly there are major Quality Control issues that for the price, sewing thread would be a better bet. As many have come to learn and with other reviews stating all the problems it has, you're taking a major gamble if you waste your money on this product. Everything from feeling like sandpaper, being extremely loud In the guides, endless wind knots and extreme breakage problems.. Yes like others have said you can snap it with your hands.. Honestly it's hard to believe a line can have so many problems but X braid really needs to address this issue. If you want to take the risk, go right ahead but for me after all the problems I've had like countless others, it's not worth it when the fish of a lifetime could be lost because of this line.

Buyer Beware ! A Total DisappointmentI've never seen such a controversial line like this before but XBraid really has a problem on their hands with quality control. One person will have the best experience ever then 5 people will get bad spools.. It's such a gamble, myself and others have paid the price. SS112 is truly one of the worst braided lines I’ve ever used. I'll try to break down why. Rough and Noisy. This line is incredibly rough to the touch and feels like sandpaper against the guides. 4 carrier braids are even smoother. Every cast sounds like a chainsaw cutting through the air, yes it’s that bad. It’s the loudest braid I’ve ever used. Terrible Casting Distance. Don’t buy into the claims about its casting distance, it's nowhere near as far as advertised. Maybe for FFS people dropping straight down it works but if you want to gain any distance with finesse techniques which most of us are buying this for, this isn't your line. Now to the most frustrating part, wind knots and breakage. Let’s talk about the wind knots. This braid tangles up constantly, I’ve used nearly every braid on the market trying to find the best brand. From the cheapest, to the highest JDM PE lines, and I've never had so many wind knots in my life! The breakage ratio is insane, I’ve had the line snap at the most inconvenient times, costing me fish and money. You have a serious problem when you can break the 15lb test with a sight pull of your hands. It truly lacks sensitivity as well compared to other braided lines. This one feels clunky and lacks the quality you would expect for the price. If you're serious about fishing with money on the line and want a line that will perform well, I truly would look at other lines in the same category, it really has been nothing but problems for me. This product does not live up to it's expectations, and I’ll be switching back to my trusted brands. Save your time and money!

Noisy but worth itThe benefits of this line sinking heavily outweigh the noise coming through the guides. It also glows at night with black lights. I have 0 complaints.

What were they thinking!?All I can say is, wow what were they thinking when they decided to market this line!? Local "experts" have pushed this line with full chest which makes me believe now they're definitely paid for, because all of the negative statements people have claimed below is 100% accurate. Rough is an understatement, for the price your paying it feels like someone braided monofilament together and like others have said it is so loud going through your guides, casting distance is non existent and forget about handling ability. I had so many issues I switched to a spool of J Braid Grand and all the problems stopped. So do yourself a favor and down let your money go down the drain using this line. For the price it's just not worth the headache.

Best braid I’ve ever triedListen I get it. I see the one stars and people may have had bad experiences. I’ve tried almost every braid trying to find my favorite between 8-12lb for dropshot and other small finesse baits. Primarily I use it for fishing a minnow or a Ned. Cast very far, its also light and supple. I’d argue it has less line memory than any braid I’ve used. Maybe I got a good batch but I’ll be buying again for sure.

Doesn't live up to the hype.So I wanted to give this line a full break in period before I could give my opinion, and after seeing countless social media posts and videos about how this is the best braid ever created, I can say I probably fell for the hype myself. First off this stuff is extremely rough in the braiding, so much so I thought I got a knock off spool at first, which in terms means it's extremely LOUD going in and out of the guides, I've never had a braid sound this audible even with 4 carrier budget braids. It also reacts to water very oddly, today I showed someone I was fishing with what it does, when you drop it down in water it wraps and almost sticks to itself like sewing thread immediately, which I could definitely see being a cause for wind knots. The casting distance is mediocre, even with a 7'10" hair jig rod it was reaching about half the distance of other lines, strength is good but all in all it definitely does not live up to the hype. Multiple people have experienced these same problems and yet some act like it's a crime to not like this line, if you've got a good spool that's great, but I definitely would be weary if you're thinking about giving this a chance, especially for the price there are much better options available.

Great lineExcellent quality stuff. Just remember folks. If you’re getting a ton of wind knots your braided line is 99% of the time not the issue. If you can’t rig your bait straight you’re gonna have line twists.

GreatFor finesse applications this is the best braid I’ve used. I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds each year on different lines. Cast like no other. I’ve used at least 5 other kinds from sunline, seaguar, power pro and others and I genuinely feel this handles the best. Smooth casting, strong and really helps when fishing deep.
