Overview

Designed by Z-Man pro and jig fishing ace David Walker, the Z-Man CrossEyeZ ChatterBait leverages the weedless, oversized eye design of Z-Man's CrossEyeZ jig series and incorporates it into this new vibrating presentation. A custom 5/0 O'Shaughnessy hook bolsters hookup and landing percentages while a dual trailer keeper, with molded lead and wire spikes, offers the ultimate in trailer security. For optimal snag resistance around wood and grass, an adjustable, v-shaped, coated multi-strand wire weedguard deflects cover and prevents snagging and fouling, while still being able to fold back during hooksets.

For lasting performance, the Crosseyez Chatterbait utilizes hand-tied silicone skirts that are secured to the hook-shank with stainless wire to maximize longevity. In addition to the premium skirting, it integrates a durable, color-matched jighead and hallmark 'cross-eyes' for added attraction. With a custom, super-hard stainless hex-shaped ChatterBlade and uniquely designed line tie snap that reduces fouling and further enhances durability, the Z-Man CrossEyeZ ChatterBait presents strong, bold vibration, unmatched durability, and superior snag resistance.

Best Chatterbait around hard woodBest Chatterbait around hard wood I have used. You can bounce it through and not get hung up. The wire wood guard is well designed, and really keep you fishing instead of getting hung up. Already have three 4lbers on this guy, all in March in Illinois-That's pretty good!

Great chatterbait for stem type grassGood chatter bait for fishing around light wood and shoreline grass. I wish it had a beefier hook. I fish it on braid and did have a fish to bend it out some. Also wish it had a more hunting type action but that may be impossible since it has two protectors coming off the head. Still a very good chatterbait for fishing around structure.

My favorite chatter bait.I fish a lot of lakes that have timber of some sort. I Like running a chatter bait around this type of cover. After hanging up a few times I decided to get the cross eyez. Now my hang ups are fare and few in between because of the wire guards. The action is on par with the original and there is a good variety of colors to choose from.

Previous Feedback

Comments: My favorite chatter bait. Starts up quick and will come through a ton more cover.

From: Kole : Choke canyon TX 8/16/23

Comments: thought the swivel to tie on was too small and cheap

From: Unknown: 8/12/23

Comments: This comes through cover that a jack hammer does not and does catch fish.

From: Unknown: 8/3/23

Comments: Have only used this a few times and it got through wood and got some fish with it. I do not think it as good as a jackhammer and fished both the same day. It is just too much to snag jackhammers so I will continue to use this chatterbait. Overall...weedguard works, catches fish and will continue to use this where there is a lot of wood. Will try it several more times , compare with jackhammer and see how much of a difference there is.

From: dave: mn 7/24/23

Comments: I personally like them more than a jackhammer especially on pressured lakes or rivers. The chatter isn't as aggressive, and I pull the weed guard out of the head and to me it still comes through structure better. Only downfall I have with this bait is the snap on the blade is absolutely trash, I've had em come undone or even bend really bad on me with some 4 pound fish. Replace the snap and to me it is a half price jackhammer that I have even more confidence in.

From: Unknown: Mobile delta 6/27/23

Comments: Love the CrosseyeZ ability to get through the grass in the Snake River in Idaho. Great smallie reaction bait when married to Zoom Z-Craw. Also looking forward to trying the Geecrack Bellows Gill on its backside which I just received from TW.

From: John: Idaho 5/13/23

Comments: Definitely my go to around shallow thick timber. Pair with zoom z craw and 20 lb. Fluorocarbon and hold on. Excellent on big fish!

From: Dan: Georgia 4/15/23

Comments: Great bait. I use smoked it and replace the skirt with chartreuse white. The gold blade is the trick. Hardly ever hangs up. Weed guard works good.

From: Steve: Athens, Tex 4/11/23

Comments: Works as advertised! While we have little wood to encounter here in east central Florida it hurts to lose expensive bladed jigs when we hang up on the wood we do fish. The CrossEyez come over the wood with no issues. Good job Z-Man! Brett Hite recommends pointing the rod straight at the lure during the retrieve over wood -- that helps avoid the lure rolling and hanging up as it comes over the wood.

From: DS: Grant, FL 4/11/23

Comments: I fish lakes with a lot of wood structure and Z-Man Crosseyez lives up to its billing and avoids hang ups regularly. On top of everything else the bass attack it.

From: Unknown: 4/7/23

Comments: These chatterbaits are going to work for me. I fish a lake that has alot of timber in it and I will throw this one in alot of places where I just wouldn't throw any other chatterbait. Good job!

From: Floyd: MO 2/18/23

Comments: The 3/4 ounce Crosseyez Chatterbait works great for Me here in Tennessee. I Fish Percy Priest Lake just outside Nashville. This lake is very rocky and the 3/4oz. Size is awesome for paralleling Bluffs. I put it on the bottom and slow roll it. The Smallmouth can't stand it. I Keep the colors pretty simple. I mostly use green pumpkin or black and blue.

From : Murfreesboro Tennessee 2/3/23

Comments: My go to chatterbait. Im going into my third season with the same GP bait. I haven't had a spot yet that this bait didn't come through. Grass, wood, rock, it keeps working. The only time I cut this bait off is to put on a chatterbait mini. I wish all chatterbaits came with the wires on the crosseyez. The wires don't effect hookups at all.

From: Mike : NJ 1/28/23

Comments: This is a great "utility" chatterbait, when you don't want to lose a jackhammer, I keep these around for just that. Take a pair of pliers and rip out the guard and it's a very comparable bait, not a jackhammer but better than not having one in a pinch. Overall a great bait at a fair price. The hook is more of a Japanese style so keep that in mind. It has a good wire keeper and nice skirts and colors.

From: Chris: Massachusetts 1/20/23

Comments: These work for just about whatever species you can throw to, whether trailered or not. The weed guards work great on them as well. I have alot of luck with these here in northern Illinois from any bass to even musky.

From: Adam: Ill 12/27/22

Comments: This is my go-to chatter bait. It has completely replaced all the others. The plastic weed guard works well, however, it does fall out after a season of hard fishing, but the bait is still fine-just isn't weedless anymore.

From: Rusty: IL 12/27/22

Comments: The weed guards on the Crosseyez really work, and I fish them about equally to the Jackhammers now.

From: Unknown: 12/22/22

Comments: I like this bait for the obvious reason that it doesn't hang like a normal vibe jib. It has the same or nearly the same thump/feel as a Jackhammer to me. Pay attention to your weed guards and you can get this bait through just about anything. My only complaint is that the weed guards fall out after extended use but then it still works fine, just no longer weedless.

From: Tom: Kansas 10/27/22

Comments: The perfect chatterbait for hard cover!!! Comes through lay downs and over x braces on docks perfectly!!!

From: Rodney: Salisbury, NC 10/22/22

Comments: Best bladed jig for the bank angler !! Vibration starts immediately and comes through cover great.

From: Patrick : Massachusetts 7/24/22

Comments: The crosseyez is the perfect Chatterbait for the bank angler. It Comes threw cover much better than other Chatterbaits and has a great thump to it. Definitely recommend this bait!

From: Patrick : Massachusetts 6/26/22

Comments: Made Chatterbaits even better. Weed guards are a big difference. Can throw this in pretty heavy cover and not get hung up. Have not noticed any effect on hookup ratio either.

From: Unknown: 6/17/22

Comments: Works as it should.. Not as responsive as its JDM bretheren on the startup but will do in a jam...

From: Dan: Washington 4/22/22

Comments: A bit disappointed in this one. Finally snagged my first fish with this chatterbait and the hook is all maimed. Fish got away and now I have to try and straighten the hook out without breaking it. I bought a couple, so hopefully this was just a fluke. The clips are also very small, much smaller than the usual clips I have on my original chatterbaits and other models.

From: Marc: Eustis, FL 4/17/22

Comments: Perfection as usual from Z-man performs very well through cover getting into those can't reach place if using the jackhammer with almost identical action trim guard back just a little for better hook set

From: Josh: Georgia 4/14/22

Comments: Finally had a chance to try the Crosseyez version of the chatterbait. I threw it in open water and through wood and grass cover. Through the wood it was phenomenal. Not even the slightest hang up. I specifically dragged it though an area that probably has three of my traditional chatterbaits just as a test. Came through flying colors. The weed guards themselves are not obtrusive. I don't think I missed a single fish that hit, hooksets were all good. In fact as I'm freeing the fish I noticed that the weed guard almost acts like a lock even. I had to push them out of the way to remove hook. The blade starts immediately. No pullstart required. The trailer keeper is top notch. I think all things considered (including the price), this is the best chatterbait in the Zman lineup. I have used the direct competitor to this one (Picasso Heavy Cover Shock Blade Pro) and I feel that the Crosseyez is *slightly* softer weed guard and missed fewer hookups. Neither of the two avoid grabbing grass in the blade connection area, that's just unavoidable. I need to fish them side by side in equivalent weights but it felts like the Zman was riding higher in the water column than the Picasso.

From: Matt: Texas 3/30/22

Comments: These baits are exceptional when targeting medium to large sized perch. My preferred method with these lures is to dead stick them on 6-8 lb line in the depth range of 12-25 feet.

From: John : Rhode Island 3/28/22

Comments: This is similar to the Jackhammer in that it starts quickly, gives an occasional erratic thump, but it also comes through cover far better. Not sure how I feel about the hook's offset, but it just helps to make it snag proof.

From: Matt: 3/27/22

Comments: When these go on sale they are close to 1/3 the price of a Jack Hammer. In my opinion they work just as well, if not better because it's super weedless. The blade vibrates instantly, and has a sharp and solid hook. But the main feature of course is the weed guards. Now you can actually throw a chatter bait where the fish are in the deepest, darkest, nastiest cover you can find. The weed guard is adjustable, so you can bend them down if you don't need a guard, or bend them up high for casting in thick vegetation. I prefer the 3/8oz version instead of the 1/2oz, but I'm almost never fishing in water deeper than 6-8 foot. As far as trailers go I don't use a paddle tail, use something like a Zako, or Razor shad. My personal favorite is the 10,000 fish Yoto worm. I add a little pro cure scent, and the gel sticks in between all of the fins, and lasts a very long time. The overall action is insane. I have had one of t hese crosseye chatter baits for so long, shortly after they were first released, and caught so many fish that there is almost no paint left on the jig head from hitting so much wood and rock. I have re-sharpened the hook point with a nail file multiple times. I decided to remove the skirt completely, And honestly I feel like I'm catching more fish without the skirtand just the yoto worm trailer. At this point, I have dozens of these chatterbaits now. It's the only one I buy. I have the best luck by casting, letting it sink to the bottom for several seconds, and slow rolling the bait. I'm talking just barely enough to feel the vibration. And every once in a while I'll reel, pause, reel, speed up, repeat. Or even a yo-yo technique. I've used several rod and reel combinations for this lure, and I've settled on a 7 ft Medium Heavy rod with a spinning reel (while most use baitcasters) This lure has completely replaced a spinner bait altogether for me. It just flat out works.

From: Josh: Texas 3/23/22

Comments: Chatterbaits have always been a confidence bait, however this is different, it's almost impossible to snag. Which that means you can throw it take a drink let it sink without fear. Grass wood reeds even pads you can just drop it right in.

From: Chris: Washington 3/9/22

Comments: Very simple, but extremely effective weed guards, if there is a snag, I will find it, and with this v shape design, I have not hung up once, love to see this design incorporated on the Jackhammer. Great lure !

From: Ron: Newport, RI 3/8/22

Comments: At first I was a little concerned with hook up ratio, but honestly I haven't noticed a drop off at all. They catch pigs too!! It's like a square bill without the aggravation of treble hooks.

From: Eric: Louisiana 2/13/22

Comments: If you're a bank fisherman, you need one of these! They don't get snagged as easy as the other chatterbaits. Debo's Fishing on YouTube got me hip to these. I'll definitely be getting more

From: Chris: Cincinnati, OH 2/12/22

Comments: Great quality. Another winner from Z-Man. I purchased several last Spring to have a Chatterbait with a weed guard to try and love them. The 2 wire weed style guard works well in lily pad stem fields and grass and has been very durable-no issues bending them back into position. When in open water situations I just cut the guard off. Took advantage of the great pricing on these during the 25 Days of Christmas sale and stocked back up!

From: Unknown: 2/11/22

Comments: The crosseyez will go through heavy cover better than a spinnerbait. It gives you the opportunity to present a chatter bait in places the fish haven't seen one.

From: Paul: Woodway, TX 1/27/22

Comments: Z-Man Crosseyez Chatter bait, Works very well here on the California Delta. No worries of getting hung up in the jungle. Quick working response. Great color selection and profile. The only upgrade is the snap. Light wire snap need to up grade to something more Stout.

From: Ruben: Modesto, CA 1/26/22

Comments: Z-Man Crosseyez chatterbaits are one of my confidence lures here on Lake Fork. Whether it be around vegetation, wood or even open water, I can usually get a bite. And normally, it is a bigger bite than if I were fishing a different bait. The weed guard on it has saved me from getting hung up on wood many times and there is plenty of wood on Fork. I use it more often than I used a Jackhammer.

From: Maury: Texas 1/21/22

Comments: I'm pretty happy with these as far as the weed guard goes. It's stout and will come through some heavy cover. The hook is a lot smaller than most chatterbaits though and there's not much hook exposed when I put a Yamamota Zako on it. I guess I'll have to use a thinner trailer. The line tie looks kind of weak, but I think it will be alright. Other than I'm very happy with it!

From: Chris: Cincinnati, OH 1/20/22

Comments: The Z-Man CrosseyeZ ChatterBaits performs best while fishing heavy brush or timbered areas of the lake. Its well-made with a high quality hook. The fiber weed guard keeps the lure from hanging up on limbs and grass but is just flexible enough to get a good hookset on quality bass. Well worth the money because of the baits you save from getting lost as happens with other chatterbaits that do not have a weed guard. The CrosseyeZ Chatterbait still has the fish catching vibration & action as the original Chatterbaits. I highly recommend this lure if you want to pull a lunker bass out of heavy cover.

From: Scott: San Angelo, TX 1/19/22

Comments: There is no other chatterbait I'd use. It begins vibrating immediately and continuously. Well made and excellent hook up ratio. Many bass have been caught on this bait.

From: Darrin: Meadville, PA 1/18/22

Comments: one of the best chatterbait I've ever tried, he made a very big vibration on the slow retrieve too, and its really weedless.

From: Yari: pesaro 1/17/22

Comments: REPLACE THE SNAP!! It's very weak and prone to coming undone. I lost two fish on two casts back to back. All I got back was the bent out snap. Other than that flaw these work amazingly well.

From: Rick: Shuqualak, MS 1/2/22

Comments: I really like how these come through cover as well slow rolling on the bottom they don't get hung up like the non weed less version. Definitely would recommend.

From: Kevin: Lowell, MA 12/29/21

Comments: I normally use and love the Z-man custom chatterbait, but I thought I'd give these a try. I normally fish from the bank and I wanted something that I felt more comfortable throwing around timber and laydowns. I really like these. The vibration starts quickly and I really like the wire weed guards.

From: Shawn: Frisco, TX 12/2/21

Comments: I have used cheaper Chatterbaits because I didn't want to spend more money on the Z-Man. I finally decided to try the Z-Man Crosseyez. Wow! Unbelievable difference! From the vibration to how it comes through structure is amazing ! Definitely the only Chatterbait I will buy from now on. Absolutely worth the money.

From: Mitch: Iowa 11/4/21

Comments: In grass and wood better than a jackhammer. If you don't like the weed guard it pulls out with a tug from pliers and you have a chatter bait that rivals a jackhammer. I prefer the skirt and a different sound than everyone else throwing jackhammers.

From: Jethro: Maryland 10/30/21

Comments: Quality bait. Definitely would recommend this one over a jackhammer. Wire guard is very effective. Will not get hung when fishing around cypress trees. Will definitely be my go to chatterbait from now on

From: Unknown: 10/14/21

Comments: I like this bait because, it comes in great colors, is weedless, and catches them good.

From: Unknown: 10/7/21

Comments: Good bait, able to fish this around wood with out much fear of getting it stuck in any wood.

From: Tim: Missouri 9/30/21

Comments: Best chatterbait for the money. Starts up right away and excellent weed guard.

From: Jaeson : Santa Rosa, CA 9/25/21

Comments: Without a doubt this is the best vibrating jig I`ve ever used. I have tried others but this one stands at the front of the pack. Built well with a sticky sharp hook. I always have a Crosseye tied on and have caught many bass on it.

From: Darrin: Pennsylvania 9/21/21

Comments: This is a better bait and better value than the jackhammer. Comes through wood and grass alike and starts vibrating as soon as you begin your retrieve and doesn't blow out when you burn it in. The 2 wire weed guards do a good job of keeping the bait snag free while still allowing a good hookup percentage. For my money, I'm buying these over a jackhammer every time. Pairs up really nicely with a Z-man razor shad.

From: Tanner: Davenport, IA 9/15/21

Comments: Very good, you can fish heavy cover without getting hooked up, 100% recommended

From: Victor: Minglanilla, Phillipines 8/18/21

Comments: This bait has a good action. Close to a jack hammer. Definitely would have both in my chatterbait box

From: Case: California 6/19/21

Comments: This version of the chatterbaits performs very well and has a role Where you might not want to throw a Jackhammer such as waters where large toothy critters reside. It starts up quick, has a good action and is durable. A nice alternative too if you don't want to pay up for the more expensive version. Weed guard does not negatively impact action or hookups.

From: Unknown: 8/9/21

Comments: Bought the Z-Man Crosseyez Chatterbait for my husband and he's very happy with it.  It's always a pleasure doing business with Tackle Warehouse, great friendly service!

From: Tina: Ontario, Canada 7/26/21

Comments: With out a doubt these are the best chatterbaits I have ever used. I always have one tied on. Quality is spot on.

From: Darrin: Meadville, Pennslyvania

Comments: This is go to lure in many different instances. It is actually very productive in weeds and attracts fish in a very distinct way. Definitely, a must-have.

From: JC: New Jersey 6/27/21

Comments: This bait has a good action. Close to a jack hammer. Definitely would have both in my chatterbait box

From: Case: California 6/19/21

Comments: I've lost some chatter baits on wood mostly, I saw this had the 2 weedless guards and wanted to try them... good basic colors, the black blades will stay black, 2 trailer keepers 1 wire 1 lead, good hook as well unfortunately yiu will need to change the snap. I broke a snap after 2 average largemouth other then that 9.99 on TW a good option above the custom

From: Luke: Colorado 5/25/21

Comments: I throw Chatterbaits a lot and the usual "knock the slack in it and hard hits" are the norm.  With this bait though I've lost and not hooked up as regularly as with other Zman chatty.   There is NO way that hook is a 5/0 too.  The custom and elites with a 5/0 are the best for scattered cover.  The Jackhammers are the best in thick vegetation.

From: Pete: Ohio 5/17/21

Comments: Have you ever not throw a Jackhammer because you didn't want to get it hung up and lose your expensive lure or blow out a hole?  Throw this one instead. Comes through wood, grass, spatterdock, etc like a champ.  I find I have this tied on more than the other chatterbaits because it will go were others won't. Feels like a Jackhammer, starts up quickly and catches fish.

From: Nate: Virginia 5/14/21

Comments: These have become my favorite chatterbait! It starts up on the first turn of the reel and has a similar feel to the Jack Hammer. As a bank angler I can throw around cover with confidence that it won't hang up. Even when I throw it into a tree. I can slowly pull it back over the branches. Ive been throwing the same one in green pumpkin for almost 2 months now. I will definitely be getting a few more in my tackle box.

From: Chris: Iowa 4/24/21

Comments: Great for fishing in and around heavy cover.  The brush guard allows you to fish in areas a traditional chatterbait and Jackhammer would have a hard time.  The head designs allows for easy skipping, paired with the brush guard and you can skip in to the thickest brush with little worry of losing the bait or blowing out the spot by having to go in and un-snag. Keep in mind that it is snag-LESS.  It will still snag on occasion and another good feature is the adjustability of the guard.  Make sure to check it after every fish or 10 or so casts. The hook is stout and maintains its point. Baitkeeper is secure - has both a molded led and wire keeper. Blade runs true for the life of the bait. The only down side is that the wire brush guard will end up coming out of the bait after you've caught a handful or so of fish.  If you notice it looking a little loose while youre checking it, applying some super glue will help you keep it longer.

Comments: Works very well around wood were a normal chatterbait would hang.  Does not quite have the hunting action the Jackhammer has, but has its place.

Comments: The crosseyez chatterbait enables you to fish a chatterbait places that you can't fish a jackhammer. Its well made, with a stout hook. Starts vibrating on the first movement of the reel, just like a jackhammer. If you like chatterbaits I recommend trying this one out.

Comments: I actually purchased both the Black/Blue and Fire Craw baits. I started out by fishing with spinnerbaits, and kept getting weeds. But when I switched over to the Crosseyez Chatterbait, they ran right through the weeds without getting any stuck on them. The seedless guards work! Plus, these baits start vibrating as soon as you begin to reel in line. I am impressed!

Comments: Comes thought heavy wooded cover better than any other bladed bait that I've used to date.  The blade starts fast and has a hard thump.  Not sure I like the eyes in every situation but a black marker fixes that really fast.

Comments: Well don't be confused with this bait being a jackhammer, but it has another trick up it's sleeve. Being weedless seems to pull through grass just a little bit easier and helps slow wood snags a little. I don't know why they don't just make a hammer weedless but it's part of the stepping stone of making money I guess. Regardless it's still a quality bait and catches fish not snags.

Comments: Bought it to fish in wood, and it works great. Doesn't get hung up.

Comments: This is my new favorite Chatterbait from Z man! Definitely the best at coming through wood cover and has a fantastic vibration! Don't miss out on this bait!

Comments: Picked this up for a tournament down at guntersville. Slow dragged it through the weeds on grass flats and it worked like a charm, white trailer and white chatter performed a little bit better.

From: Dan: Chicago, IL 4/2/21

Comments: I only bought this one because the color was not available in the Jackhammer, but I've been pleasantly surprised. It come through the water with a good thump and the blade starts pretty quickly. A good alternative.

Comments: My first cast out of the package, a bass followed it to the bank. I caught a bass on second cast.  I used a blue craw trailer.

From: Christopher: Evansville, IN 3/31/21

Comments: The cross-eye catches fish and runs through the muck, extremely well. It has two bait keepers, a wire and a traditional lead style keeper. They face opposite directions and work TOO WELL.  Any adjustment on a keitech trailer will ruin the bait. I'll be clipping the traditional keeper and relying on the wire.

Comments:
The chatter bait is one of my favorite baits to throw, however it grabs wood like crazy. The Crosseyez is perfect for fishing trees! It skips amazingly and doesn't get hung at all. I've only used it a few casts and haven't caught anything yet on it, but what a great tool to add to the box.

Comments: Great bait worded well for me on a tidal river in Virginia perfect weight size.

From: Miles: Chesterfield, VA 3/27/21

Comments: I have fished it now a few times and know complaints. I starts immediately, you can feel it vibrating while falling on a good rod. Comes through cover better than suspected. Has a good thumb, fast or slow, and runs true through the water. No twitching to get the blade started on pauses or when bumping cover. Weed guard really helps & is adjustable.

From: Shane: 3/27/21

Comments: Great feel, casts a mile doesn't make you tired after throwing it all day. Sharp hooks. Zman hit the nail on the head.

From: Glenn: Mountain Home, ID 3/27/21

Comments: Blade engages immediately  and the weed guard works great, good jig for the price.

From: Jamie 3/26/21

Comments: Runs great through the thisk weeds and wood.  The weed guard doesn't hinder hookups.

From: Mario: Gaston, Oregon 3/19/21

Comments: Good weedguard, good movement in the water. The j trailer keeper will tear up small plastic trailers.

From: Gene: Missouri  2/28/21

The bait is nicee rolls over wood good . Lights up quick as well pretty close to a jack hammer. Nice skirts as well.

Comments: Great chatterbait, well made, brilliant color. Look forward to using this soon.

From: Ken: Lake Forest, IL 2/6/21

Comments: I wondered when Zman was going to produce something like this with the crosseyez jigs. Considering myself and several other guys on the local tournament scene that I fish have already been doing this with just the normal crosseyez jigs by just adding a blade. I have mad respect for the Zman name. But they haven't really done anything overly exciting in terms of the chatterbait since they made the Original Chatterbait. The jackhammer is overrated, the only other one that is something different is the freedom because of the free swinging head that doesn't give the fish as much leverage!

From: William: IL 1/27/21

Comments: I like. It is essentially the Original with a weed guard, better hook, better hand tied skirt.

From: Unknown: 12/31/20

Comments: I use the $5 original and catch lots of fish, but I'm not knocking those that spend a ton on chatterbaits that do the same thing "vibrate" and you can lose it on wood cover, I don't cry as bad when i lose a $5 bait vrs $10 or $20 baits that do basically the same thing, I use t-rigged worms and beaver style baits and hollow body frog, stuff that's not likely to get hung up and lose other than the chatterbait and it allows me to use straight braid to hook or bait and catch lots of heavy angry bass
