Overview
A brilliant addition to the space-age family of Elaztech baits, the Z-Man Goat Toadz bring explosive action and an irresistible profile to the surface of your favorite fishery. The Goat Toadz start with a bulky yet inviting body that is thick enough to appeal to bass with big appetites, yet carefully streamlined to enhance castability and skipability alike. Stretching out from the body are a pair of enthusiastic legs with paddle tail feet that are designed to kick, thump, and churn up a tremendous amount of water while leaving a generous bubble tail in their wake.
After spending over a year in the research and design phases, the Z-Man Goat Toadz are primed to hop onto the end of anglers’ lines with meticulously crafted features aimed at enhancing the user’s experience on the water. The tops of the bodies boast dorsal ridges that protect both single and double hooks while also adding a layer of realism. The belly half of the bait utilizes a hook slot to ensure confident hooksets and a better hook up ratio. The extremely buoyant and impossibly durable Z-Man Goat Toadz are ideally suited for pairing up with your favorite buzzbait, EWG hook, and much more.

Comments: better than other similar frogs. You can do stop and go, with it, make the difference on slow day, I like the black and the chartreuse /green!

Comments: I had great success with these on local ponds last year, using the Coppertreuse color. The leg action got their attention whereas my other frog lures didn't. So, I'm going to buy some additional colors this year.

Comments: Bad design IMO. Tails barely catch water so the kick is not great and doesn't start kicking instantly which is needed for a buzz toad. Only good part about it is it floats. Would be good for pike or pond bass. .

Comments: I was anxiously awaiting these being released. I purchased green pumpkin and hot snakes because I wanted to test the frogs. They float my 5/0 trokar offset hook. What I like is that you can stop them, float them still and then restart the retrieve. Legs have great consistent action due to the perpendicular appendages. It's like a slow floating weedless mini buzzbait you can pause. On my second outing fishing them I took them to Headwaters Lake here in FL and caught an 8lb 11ozer on a blow up with the hot snakes color. Everyone was astonished that I caught it topwater since everyone else was fishing speed worms. Kudos to zman for making this frog! I would like a magnum version at some point though!

Comments: While fishing for pre-spawn/spawning bass this spring I used the goat frog. It wasn't the only lure catching fish but it had the best hook up ratio of anything I used. The bass were straight up killing this frog. The thing is, I just needed to continue reeling and the bass would hook themselves. It did take me a bit to figure out I didn't have to set the hook like I would normally do with a traditional hollow body frog. Like all Z-man products, these things are pretty tough and sometimes frustrating to reset after a fish catch. But the bottom line is that they work and work well in the right situation. The best aspect of floating frogs like these is you can work them slowly or quickly, pause them, twitch them etc. Just find out what the bass want that day and have fun!

Comments: I followed the Goat Toadz from inception via Z-Man's video series so I'd been anxiously awaiting its release. Where the Hard Legz can be finicky in creating ripples the GT starts gurgling instantly. A double frog hook weighs it just below the surface. I caught a 3lb largemouth merely giving it a test run. I could pull it through the sloppiest bayou muck due to the back ridges. The buoyancy lets you take your time and draw strikes. Soak them in Pro-Cure so the bass hold on longer. Highly recommended.

Comments: These are a game changer. The fact that they float with a 4/0 hook is great. The leg action is amazing and the sound they make call in big fish. I also put them on my buzzbaits as trailers. 10/10.
