It doesn’t make sense…I bought this rod and returned it. The specs on it are just confusing. They claim 1-4oz rating with a nice load-up for trebles but it’s stiffer than my heavier rated rods. It also has a super short handle from butt to trigger like 13” compared to most swimbait rods in the 15-18” range. Why would they make a heavy rod for heavy baits where you can’t get leverage on the cast? Also, for a big rod meant for big baits, it felt like a fairy wand in my hand…. probably due to the combination of short handle / thick rod blank, it does not feel well balanced. Not to mention the micro eyelets can be bent very easily. And why micro eyelets? IMO they have no place on a rod rated for 1-4oz swimbaits where you need heavier line. You’ll never get a leader knot through these eyelets. Sorry iRod, I don’t typically write bad reviews but this rod just doesn’t add up, I think y’all need to go back to the drawing board…
