Overview
PowerPro Spectra Braided Line in Yellow is designed for applications where a high visibility line is necessary. It is typical for anglers to use a short fluorocarbon leader with Hi-Viz lines, especially in clear waters. The angler is able to accomplish the goal of having a line that is invisible to fish that are close to the bait or lure by adding fluorocarbon. Comments: This line is complete garbage. I've never had a problem with Powerpro until now. Brand new line and every cast it knots up mid-air. Same drop shot rod and reel I've been using for multiple seasons. It's just trash.

Comments: I've been using PP 10lb tied to a mono leader. I love the yellow, but it does wear off quickly. I recently decided to try Suffix 832 in 8lb. It's been a nightmare! Nothing but tangles and wind knots. I'm back here buying more PP.

Comments: Great color for early morning or late afternoon. Seems to work better the more you use it. Getting it wet early is the best way to tame it when you first spool it up on a spinning reel. I pour a little bit of water on it before I make the first cast ....works for me.

Comments: My bad eyes love the yellow. Use a leader or take large sharpie about 5' up the line (black). Seems to work for me. For moving baits I like the green. Floro makes me nervous I may have nicked it or burned a little loop on the reel. Power pro is peace of mind.

Comments: I use Power Pro in 8,10,15, and 40lb sizes. I have never had problems with it. For frogging I tie direct And all other types I use a mono or flouro leader tied with an FG Knot. I love the knot strength, visibility, casting ease And the price. Over the years I've learned to change it every two seasons And I'm good. It's really fantastic on spinning reels.

Comments: Just got my PP Braided line, really digging the Yellow Hi-Vis; purchased the 30/150yrds line spool and I love it very much, first braid to ever put on my reel--spinning/casting gear, as of this review it is on my casting reel. Also worth the mentioned that I am a beginner in the field of BC; must say it is really addicting; excluding the backlashes and the overrun spool. To the people who are complaining about their line getting backlashes and their lures getting thrown off-- don't blame the line; it is the fault of the person using the baitcaster, majority of people who transfer from spinning to casting will have a difficult time using a casting reel, always adjust your brakes and knob tension whenever you're putting on a new lure that is either light/heavy.

Comments: I use 15lb yellow power pro on ALL of my spinning reels with a 10lb flouro leader (double uni or alberto knot)...never had a leader knot fail....I simply got tired of replacing alot of flouro on my spinning reels when line twist occurred (even being mindful of how to avoid them)...saved so much money using the braid/flouro...get some!

Comments: I use the 10lb or 15lb Power Pro Super 8 Slick Yellow for my Finesse Bass fishing. With a FC Sniper 7lb leader.For my Basic Bass fishing I use the 15lb Super 8 Slick with a 8-12lb fluoro leader. I use the 15lb tied direct for Top Water fishing. For pitching-Flipping and Frogging I use the 30lb Super 8 Slick. No problems. Great Braid.

Comments: Awesome line if you don't mind re-tieng after hooking every other fish. I have been using this line for about a year and it is extremely sensitive. My complaint would be that I fish Texas rigged soft plastics almost always. The line frays due to the bullet weight riding up and down the line near the knot. I thought a fluorocarbon leader would cure this problem...then I tied my spinnerbait to this line and it also frayed near the knot, must be stress on the line or the bass striking the line is causing it to fray... not sure about that.

Comments: SUCKS!!!!!!!!! bought it sunday and it all got knoted up not backlashed but knoted up on monday wow one full day of fishing. my money is completely on stren sonic braid.

Comments: I've used power pro yellow and green braid for several years. For the money, Power Pro stands up to all the other braids that I have fished.You'll get some wind knots, but if you are observant these won't give you much trouble. good product on spinning as well as baitcasting.
