Comments: This mount does not fit the Gimbal mount with the HDS- Gen2 as stated from KS. I had to drill some new holes into the Gimbal mount and the Ram Mount to make it fit. Overall very sturdy mount and pretty awesome, only drawback is with all those existing holes on the Ram Mount make it fit with the Lowrance Gen 2 equipment.

Comments: This Ram-Mount doesn't fit the gimbal bracket that comes with the Lowrance HDS-8 Gen 2. I tried for hours to find some way to get them to mount, but there was no way to align more than two of the holes. Either my HDS-8 Gimbal had incorrect holes pre-drilled, or the Ram-Mount did. I am still going to save the Ram-Mount and use it next year for an HDS-10 upgrade and hopefully THAT fits.

Comments: By far the only way to mount a fishfinder, i have mine in an hds-10 and a hds-7 both are rock solid in evan the most rough waves. dont chince out when those units cost so much, you'll be glad when u buy it!
