Overview

Designed exclusively for Tackle Warehouse, the Bates Fishing Co. Limited Edition Hundo Casting Reels are built using CNC machined 6061-T6 Bar Stock Aluminum to form an insanely lightweight, strong, and durable one-piece body. The 100-size frame is easy to palm and highlights a TW-exclusive PURPLE SPACE DUST colorway with an anodized anti-corrosion finish to protect the LE Hundo from damage in harsh marine environments.

The aluminum cranking arm is outfitted with oversized knobs ideally suited for chucking and winding applications or for picking apart heavy cover. Featuring an enhanced casting control through the dual matrix braking system, the TW Exclusive LE Hundo allows anglers to dial-in reel settings and increase handling capabilities with a variety of lures and techniques. Built with a watertight stainless-steel and titanium drag assembly, the Bates Fishing Co. Limited Edition Hundo Casting Reels include ten HAC stainless-steel bearings, two high-precision NMB ball bearings, and a one-way bearing for buttery-smooth performance anglers can depend on.

I don’t even know how to rate this realI really wanted to like this real as purple is my favorite color, I like limited edition things and to support up-and-coming business. So I ended up getting it as a Father’s Day gift. My family is so cool. The real is absolutely awesome. It’s light smooth checked all the boxes before I fished with it. As I was adjusting it, I I ended up getting a backlash and I was pulling it out. The thumb bar clicked over and I realize I couldn’t turn the spool anymore. It took me a little while to figure out, but after examining it any loop in the line wraps around a screw that’s in the thumb bar. is pretty much impossible to get the line off of the screw without very small pliers. It’s a real bummer because the REAL is amazing cast great smooth everything I wanted, but if you get the littlest backlash with the loop it hooks on the screw on the thumb bar and I’ll shut the REAL down. It really sucks cause I love the real, but it honestly makes it to where you can even fish or you have to spend a lot of time trying to get it off the screw. I think I’m gonna contact the company and see if there’s a solution because the real is awesome but this is so bad that it’ll shut down your fishing time. There’s no way you could deal with it in a tournament. Anyway that’s my two cents first review I’ve done of anything. I just don’t want somebody to save up and spend their money and have this happen to them it’s not something like it’s heavy or not smooth it makes you unable to fish.

InsaneI’m a shimano guy I have used nearly every high end reel ever made from the curado dc to the Antares dc I also own the top end lews and doses reels both in spinning and casting, this reel is ridiculously nice smaller 100 profile palms in the hand like butter and you could use it from worms to jigs to frogging. Dialing in the breaks is a little trickier than other brands but as far as durability goes this thing is bulletproof I bought 4 and love them this thing looks sweet as well extremely smooth you can definitely feel the gears slightly but I’m being picky as I’ve used every expensive reel on the market these things also have a collectible side being limited edition in this purple color. The whole things one piece aluminum and feels crazy nice in hand and on a 7-7”1 rod would be your best bet for balance wise. Have mine on 2 st croix legend extremes, a shimano poison adrena and a dobyns champion medium and medium heavy’s balances sweet. I love this reel once you dial it in it casts further than all other brands need to have a bit of baitcaster thumbing ability for max distance I’d give the breaks a 8/10 but if your a seasoned fisherman holy cow you can bomb this thing it’s wild I use 16lb diawa samurai flouro on all of mine. Upgraded handle is sweet to I have big hands and the reel palms crazy good but the handle is so awesome that it’s large. Again the reel being a 100 size is the best feeling reel I’ve ever used and that’s the main reason I love it. Owner is also a Christian and there’s a cool bible version on the back of the box when you get it overall I give this puppy a 9.5/10 well worth the money

Smooth ReelNot bad at all. It definitely cast better than my cheaper reels. Fit and finish is top notch, time will tell.
