Nice Rod for the priceI have the previous model and like it a lot so decided to try the new model. I think you either like the graphics or you don’t but it’s nice to see something different than the same old plain stuff. The rod is extremely light, sensitive and the cork is pretty nice. Overall I think this rod is the best value on the market at this price. I am going to buy another one!

Initial ImpressionsI was thrilled when I first took this thing rod out of its box. The first thing I noticed was the cork and reel nut design which was a nice touch-up from the previous model. I also like how the handle for the 7ft med-fast was longer than the previous version. I also was happy about the design and overall aesthetics of the rod. One thing I think can be improved is the counter-balance towards the reel seat. When I put a Daiwa Fuego 3000 on it, the balance became better but very slightly bottom heavy. But, I haven't fished enough with it yet so I can't give a full honest review. But overall a great rod for the $100 - $200 price range.

Why cheapen the guidesDaiwa made improvements but the Fuji O guides microscopically have a rough surface finish compared to the fazlite and alconite guides. The O guides will not groove from using braid but will cause wear to the braid surface and shorten it's usable life.
