Comments: The NRX+ bladed jig rod is probably the best reaction bait rod I've ever used, but there are some notes that should be mentioned. First off, it's not JUST bladed jig rod. Jackhammers, lipless cranks, square bills, and open hook swimbaits are monneeyyy on this stick. I originally mounted the new Daiwa Zillion SV on it and it was tip heavy, noticeably tip heavy. I swapped the Zillion for a Bantam and it is a match made in heaven. So, just beware, I would highly advise against a reel that is sub 7 ounces, it doesn't balance well at all. Now back to the rod. Extremely sensitive, very lightweight, overall just a bad to the bone rod. Do I like it as much as my Megabass P5 Madbull? Debatable, but we'll see with time. I have been hammering fish with the NRX+ throwing a 1/4oz Zman swimbait head with a 3" easy shiner and it's slowly becoming my favorite smaller-medium swimbait rod. I'll feel the fish eat the bait on slack line and I'll engage the reel and sm ack them, superb sensitivity for a "reaction" rod, but its an NRX, i wouldnt expect anything less. You could honestly save yourself $500 and buy the Daiwa DX reaction glass rod if you dont need that sensitivity and responsiveness and if you're wanting to solely throw jackhammers and square bills. All in all, this NRX+ reminds me of Loomis's Mag bass rods, just a overall do anything utility rod. It's absolutely killer, just gotta be willing to fork out the money. And remember, NO REELS UNDER 7 OUNCES, TRUST
