The latest generation of finesse baits out of Japan, the Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait offers anglers a unique approach to those veteran bass that lurk in pressured waters. The Karashi dives into your favorite fishery with a slow sinking property to tempt bass with a wild walk-the-dog action that was previously only achievable with surface lures. It dashes left and right with every snap of the rod to mesmerize finicky and aggressive fish alike, triggering them to lash out at your dancing twitch bait. Conversely, the Karashi imparts a dead stick action on a steady retrieve similar to a spybait to more effectively target lethargic predators.
In addition to the wild subsurface action, the Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait also delivers the meticulous quality and attention to detail that has elevated Megabass to legendary status. Molded onto the anatomically accurate profile are 3D scale and lateral line patterns, raised gill rakers, and their signature downward-facing eyes. It also comes available in a range of proven colors to further entice any wary bass. Making sure anglers get the most for their dollar, the Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait twitches out of the packaging with premium hardware to help make sure the trophy on the end of your line makes it into the net every time.
This bait is great!Ive caught so many bass on this tiny lil bait. So much action, but it’s not a normal walk back and forth but a more erratic action. I caught all the way from a 4 ounce bass to a 4 pounder on one trip. Catches any fish that swims pretty much. Very much recommend.

Does a lot with a littleI love this bait. It’s deceptive because it’s so simple. A slow rewind can work, dead stick can work, and it walks the dog beautifully, and you can burn it. It gets hit.

Is it me or is it the lure?I’ve waited quite a while to say this but I either fell for the hype or I just don’t know what I’m doing. I have fished it fast, medium and in between with very little success. I got to say one thing in my defense though and that is the Karashi colors and patterns don’t look anything like the bait fish in Florida & when things are quiet and I’m fishing a Karashi I swear I can hear the bass laughing at me.

Best lure ever! Hooks suck though!Catches fish like crazy, but like every like 5-10 fish the hooks break. Megabass was nice enough to send me a replacement for one, but it happened to all my hooks eventually on all my other karashis. Catches fish and is my favorite bait but they need to fix their hooks now!

Too Fragile -would not buyDon’t buy this if you want to use it for lake bass fishing. Wait for the larger size to come into stock and try it. I caught 2 small bass and broke both hooks releasing the fish. Now I need to buy replacement hooks that will cost me almost the same as the product purchase? After 2 small fish? No doubt it will catch fish, but this is a bluegill bait at best imo. I will try and get the larger size when in stock, but I have had better experiences with hooks on Temu products than with this unit. Not worth it.

Super fun "go to" baitThis is a killer little bait to fish on any body of water that has good amounts of pressure. Here in Michigan, Lake Interstate, Grand river, or some of the other gravel pits around the area are pressured. Lots of luck by fishing parallel to drop offs, structure changes, eddie breaks in the river, etc.....I tie a loop knot most of the time to give the bait some more freedom to move. I use a BFS setup with sunline 6 lb fluorocarbon. You can use a light spinning rod that you would use for Ned rigs as well, works wonders on smallmouth, largemouth, and be careful....Northern Pike as well!

Great baitThis bait gets tons of bites but hooks are really weak. Buy plenty of spare hooks because you’ll need them!

No SugarcoatingThe lure itself is good for action, caught many largemouth, spotted bass, crappie, and bream. The hooks are sharp but the back trebles bend so bad after maybe 3-4 fish. You have to bend them back pretty much every 5 fish. The front trebles haven't had a issue, barely bends when the fish get it. 2 stars for the price to quality.

Bigger bait?I think we can all agree - they work, but the hooks are weak. Why aren't we asking for a larger bait? Just make a "Karashi-Max" in a 3.3", with actual bass hooks? Not everybody has (or likes) BFS....

Comments: Lots of fun. I use on a BFS setup w/ 6lb fluoro for stream fishing and get panfish/trout/small bass while others are getting skunked. Great for crappie and finessing shallow bass too. I change front hook on a few to Owner STX-38 #8 which makes it sink horizontally vs tail first and helps keep bigger fish pinned. Probably won't help you cull up in a tournament, but a ton of fun for a day on any body of water.

Comments: Effective! I love fishing jerkbaits in cold water. However, in the spring when the ponds I fish begging to sprout all sorts of subsurface vegetation, this little bait succeeds by darting above the weeds. I fish it on spinning gear, but imagine bfs would work too.

Comments: You will need a light spinning rod and good 6 lb florocarbon to fish this properly. Twitch it. You will load the boat with a bunch of small fish of all different species.
