Overview

A special weapon for monster bass, the Megabass Megadog is a magnum size pencil topwater bait that triggers heart stopping blow-ups from the biggest and most aggressive bass. Built with a fully wired-through frame for enhanced durability, the Megabass Megadog is molded with a wide flat bottom and a tapered tail, which allows it to easily slide back and forth across the surface when twitched with its head pointed slightly upwards to cut through any chop. Featuring a patented double inertial balancer system as well, the Megabass Megadog not only generates a loud knocking sound but also remains perfectly balanced for a superior walking action under any condition.

Additionally, the Megadogs’s pulling resistance is extremely light to reduce muscle strain on the angler and make walking even easier. Armed with heavy duty components all around, the Megabass Megadog is equipped extra-strong razor sharp treble hooks that are attached by double stainless steel split ring and swiveling hook hangers to ensure maximum hook-up and landing ratios. Finished with lifelike details and custom paint jobs that Megabass is known for, the Megabass Megadog is a must-have for big bait aficionados.

Pursuing pelicansWe were fishing on the coast and a pelican set his sights on this awesome lure. When he had about 10ft left in his dive bomb, I jerked the lure out from under him, which worked. But 100 or so of his buddies (and some assorted seagulls) saw that he missed and figured it was their turn next. After frantically reeling in 50 yards of line, I has to change lures to something else, because this thing causes an absolute feeding frenzy. (It also works on fish)

Comments: For a giant log of a bait, it sure walks easily. Like other reviewers said, use beefy tackle or you will break some stuff. And maybe lose that fish of a lifetime.

Comments: Purchased several of these...been extremely pleased with the performance of this bait. It walks easily. I'd give this bait a 9.5/10 overall. I had an eyeball fall off of one. Nothing too crazy considering the value of this bait. Consider dabbing on a drop of epoxy over the eyeballs before fishing and you should be good.

Comments: You can make this thing jump like a dolphin with 80lb braid. I caught my first true boss 7lb largie on a 8ft mojo musky with the megadog. The stiff action on that rod let's u absolutely cook this bait to the point a fish can hardly tell it's 8.6 inches. It drives them insane. Some days it's just too much lure, but when you get it dialed hold on for dear life. I personally would not recommend anything but 80 lb braid or 30+lb mono. I snapped one off so loud on 80lb braid, u would have thought I shot a pellet gun. Luckily I went and plucked it out of the water cuz it floats like a pool noodle. Check your braid after backlashes!

Comments: One of the newest and largest true topwater lures made. Able to "walk the dog" effortlessly on a long cast. Awesome in salt and fresh water. Catches giant aggressive fish that eat large prey. I would like to see a smaller size at 6 1/2 inches, but until then, I will continue to hurl this massive BEAST !

Comments: If you are looking for a bait similar to the Lunker Punker you have found it! In my opinion the hook hangers and overall design rival the punker. I threw this on 65 pound braid with no top shot and the line fouling was no where near as much as the punker.  Even with a mono top shot on the punker it still seems gets fouled in the hooks, it must be something with the design. Also the walking action of this lure is phenomenal! you can make tight zigzags or wide sweeping walks depending on rod twitch. The price of this bait is a steal for the tremendous quality.

Comments: Happy to see these on here now. I had to buy mine from ebay when they first became available. I own og punkers, dirty donkey's, strike king mega dawg, evergreen showerblows, pretty much all the big topwater walkers and these are legit af. These suckers are big! Walk very well and wide long sweeping glides. Surprisingly low fatigue due to the low amount of strength it takes to walk. Make sure u have the right gear. I throw mine on a Dobyns 795sb and a Lews super duty 300 7:1. Highly recommend to all the big bait guys.
