Overview
These offset worm hooks, from Owner America Corporation, feature the renowned Cutting Point exclusive to Owner hooks. They also offer a corrosion resistant black chrome finish and strong, heavy wire, and an extremely short shank for such a wide gap hook. Sometimes you might be fishing some plastic that is short but thick, like a spider grub, or a creature bait, and the other extra wide gap hooks are just too long. That's where the Owner Riggin' Hook comes in handy, and they'll help you catch more fish, too. The secret is that this hook has an ultra-sharp point like other premium hooks, but once the point penetrates, even hard cartilage and bone, the cutting edges actually make the hook push in past the barb easier, meaning less force is required to securely hook your bass. This is accomplished by the fact that the edges of the point up to the barb are actually like knife edges and easily slice into the fish instead of acting like a wedge that requires more force the deeper it penetrates. There is a third cutting edge on the bottom of the point from tip to the barb, which helps the barb enter more easily. Comments: I've tried every style of hook there is for flipping and these hands down have the best hook up ratio. I know everybody has different preferences but for me these just plain do the trick.

Comments: If you're thinking of buying this hook, consider the Owner Wide Gap Plus instead. Basically the same hook but with a much better Z bend for securing soft plastics. Both are short shank hooks with extra wide gaps for rigging shorter, fatter baits.

Comments: Awesome hooks!!!! Excellent for wacky rigging....use the size 1 for 4" stick baits and the 1/0 for 5" stick baits.....awesome penetration and the hook point seems indestructable.
