Great finesse rodRod is lightweight and sensitive, especially for the price. Great rod for ultra finesse baits for bass or walleye, and doubles as a crappie rod, as well. Throws small crappie jigs just fine, and is one of the few rods I've had throw the ultra thin Japanese PE braids without significant issues of tangling in the guides on casts. Yes, it's fragile, you can't beat it on stuff or boat flip 4lb fish, but take care of it, and it is an excellent rod to fish with if you are into finesse and/or crappie fishing.

Doesn't handle big fishLoved the feel and action of the rod. Major down side tip snapped off with a 3 1/2 lb largemouth ! Warranty cost to replace doesn't justify going back with it again. Went back to the M1 series until I can find something better.

Bad tipRod feels nice but the rod tip is super thin...It snapped off while putting in my car. Not even had this Rod for 1 month.

Good UL Bass RodI bought the 7'1 rod when it went on sale a couple months ago. I paired it with the Daiwa Procyon AL LT 2000 and 8lb x9 Berkley braid. When I first got the rod, I noticed how incredibly light it was and how thin the tip of the rod is. So if your clumsy or rough on equipment, you might need to watch out for that. The guides were straight and epoxied well and the rod was properly spined/splined. The cork handle is a little small, but it is a finesse rod so it gets a pass. The rod has bend down to the second guide on the rod. With that being said, the action doesn't feel that sluggish. The tip is fast enough to snap ned rigs, small tubes, little senkos, and neko rigs. Once you hook a fish, they are very hard to lose. Even the acrobatic river smallmouth have a hard time shaking out or pulling loose. Sensitivity is on par with everything else in its price range. I don't know how well it'll hold up to larger fish, as most of the scenarios this rod is used in only see fish up to 2.5 lbs. This rod feels like a quality general purpose ultra finesse spinning rod. I don't think its worth the 189.99 price tag though. Wait for it to go on sale.
