Comments: Hands down the best spinning rod your going to get under $250. Light and a crisp action, well balanced, epoxy is on point on the threads. I can't say enough about this rod. I'll definitely be adding more over the next year.

Comments: As a finesse specialist, I not only have a spinning rod in my hands much of the time, but I am also extremely picky with regards to the rods specifically.   I discount a lot of great manufacturers simply based on how the rods are build.   I like minimal reel seats that allow blank contact and I require a rod that is both very light, and extremely sensitive.

I recently purchased a 7'2"M ex fast M!......I had high expectations and upon receiving it and fishing a few tournaments, I can say that this rod has exceeded all expectations.   The length and action are perfect.   The rod is exceptionally light, lighter than I even anticipated and the sensitivity is spectacular.

I was initially wary of the small guide system, but the rod casts smoothly without issues.

I highly recommend this rod and will be buying several more....Phenix hit it out of the park with the new revision of the M!....I'm sold...if you are on the fence about this rod, don't be, this isn't one of those rods that anyone will regret buyin

Comments: I got the M1 7-2 medium back in March. I have been using it for throwing small jerkbaits, maribou hair jigs, and other finesse presentations. Very pleased with it, sensitivity is great as I swear I can feel the bass flaring their gills right before the initial inhale and swim off or tug lol. Surely recommended if you're in the market for a spinning rod. Aside from that Phenix Rods have always been awesome and with a superb warranty as well. Job well done!

Comments: Needed another spinning rod for finesse techniques and was really drawn to the M1 just based on aesthetics and sleek design. Have had the rod now for about 3 months and have been really impressed with it. Sensitivity is on point with light line presentations and handles fish really well. 10/10 for me.

Comments: I've had the 7'8" M for a few weeks. My only experience with Phenix is 2 casting feathers and 1 composite X10. The feathers are definitely close to a power down like many people experience. First Phenix spinning, so wasn't expecting the guides to be so small. I'm still able to cast braid-leader fairly well. I'm not even sure if these are labeled true micro guides, but they are small diameter guides for sure. I was potentially expecting this rod to be a medium light > M+. IMO it feels like a true medium fast or extra fast action, not moderate fast as stated on TW. The rod is gorgeous. Given that I was betting on a moderate/medium light action, I was planning on using this to load and launch lighter baits such as #5 shad rap, hair jigs & during the Covid shutdown just launching whatever 1/4 - 1/2 oz total weighted baits from the bank during the Covid shutdown. I don't have experience with higher priced spinning rods. Here's my experience positive experience so far. Feeling structure and bites from a far distance and solid, solid hooksets from a far distance. I'm please with this rod for many different finesse plastics, but I'll be sticking with my 7'6" Cronos for small treble baits, as it loads better with a little delay during strikes. Silly me, I just looked at the rod......labelled Extra Fast
