Comments: Great reel except for one thing, the paint quality, it's terrible. I love almost every thing about this reel, the looks, the feel, the price. The one thing I don't is how easily the paint chips and rubs off. Within about 5 light uses it looked as if the reel was 10 years old. Reel foot, spool, rotor all have paint chips and I have been taking very good care of the reel. This does not impact the performance of the reel in any way and it is certainly a smooth reel. That said, it is disappointing nonetheless. I don't see any other reviews mentioning this issue so I may have got a lemon and if that's the case I'll gladly buy more. If it's not and all reels are like this I will get something else. The Nasci and Fuego are often compared because of their price points and I own both. The Fuego is a tad lighter and I feel is better for lighter baits. Both have good sealing but I wouldn't use either too heavily in saltwater. The Nasci feels a bit cheaper with more plastic. Your really can't go wrong with either.

Comments: I can't believe this is a $100 reel. Silky smooth and drag system is great. I've been fishing it hard for a year in East Texas. Landed very nice bass and crappie worth every penny. Don't hesitate you won't be disappointed.

Comments: If you are buying a spinning reel with a budget of a $100 it comes down to 2 options; the Shimano Nasci FC and Daiwa Fuego LT. If you are wondering which one is better, which I'm sure a lot of you are wondering, I can help because I personally own both in the 2500 series, and use both for finesse fishing. This Shimano is nothing short of amazing, it has a smoother retrieve than the Fuego and a better line lay. However, the Fuego has a much better and more consistent drag than the Nasci. It is also lighter by an ounce depending on size. They cast pretty much equal. I have noticed that the Nasci feels like it's built to last (hence being heavier) and it also has a quieter drag if that's your thing. Overall I like them both, I couldn't decide between the 2, so I bought both. I would say if you are using a really light rod, like a Medium light extra fast, and the blank is light, I would go with the Fuego. A medium, med/heavy then maybe choose the Nasci, balance it out. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Comments: My favorite spinning reel that I own. For 100 bucks this thing is so beautiful and so silky smooth. Handles big smallies like a dream. I have it paired with a duckette fishing Silverado and it is such a good looking combo. For 100 dollars I would argue that this is the best spinning reel on the market

Comments: Picked up this reel a few weeks ago, don't regret it at all. You get what feels in every way like a higher-end Shimano reel for a low-end price. Huge improvement over the old Nasci for sure. Everything is buttery smooth, nothing not to like unless you seriously care about reel weight, and even then it's about average compared to most other reels in this price range.

Comments: Great reel ! I spooled up my NASCI 3000 with 8-pound mono. I caught a chunky 5-pound largemouth on my first outing with it, using a smallie beaver rigged on a Z-man ned lock jighead. It is heavier than my Vanfords, but who cares ? I personally don't understand the obsession with reel weight. I love the feel of this reel and the drag is excellent. Gonna buy another one for sure.

Comments: Great reel. I bought the 2500 size and paired it with a dobyns fury 702SF. Now it's my go to for drop shots and Ned rigs. The drag is very smooth and casting is effortless. Only complaint is that the reel is a little heavy compared to others at the same price point.
