Overview
The newest addition to the series of jerkbaits Kevin VanDam spent close to two years designing and testing, the Strike King KVD 100 Jerkbait gives anglers a smaller, more finesse option to target highly pressured and finicky fish. It’s unlike any jerkbait on the market with a wilder action than any other jerkbait he’s ever fished - and it flat gets bit. It has a really wide side-to-side travel on the jerk, and also has a lot of erratic wiggling and darting action. A weight transfer system allows you to cast the 100 Jerkbait farther than similar-sized options, with 3D eyes and incredible detailing only adding to its appeal. Complete with sticky-sharp trebles for maximum hooking potential, they are available in a range of colors handpicked by KVD. Rip the Strike King KVD 100 Jerkbait on slack line for maximum action - and hold on!

Comments: KVD 100 Jerkbait is one of the Best. The smaller 100 size will get more bites in smaller and shallower areas than the larger jerkbaits. It is one that you always want in your arsenal.

Comments: Great bait! I was looking for something smaller for my son to use. The action was great and he got on a lot for fish right away. I ended up utilizing it as well when the situation called for a little more finesse or as mid-day approached. Will definitely always have a few in the boat

Comments: My favorite part about the smaller size is how it works through the weeds and tracks shallower than the larger 300 model. The smaller hooks and profile allow for the bait to 'rest' on stems of grass and pop off for reaction strikes without consistently digging up. With rod tip angle, the bait can be worked from 3" to nearly 6'. Wildly versatile search bait year-round.

Comments: Great bait, awesome colours, good hardware fitted, just needs a couple of suspendots or a bit of solder wrapped around the front hook shank to truly suspend.

Comments: I bought 4 of these recently. I was looking for a smaller, finesse type suspending jerkbait. While the profile and size of the bait fits the finesse style I was looking for, I was disappointed to find that all 4 of the baits I purchased floated instead of suspending. Once I would pause my retrieve the baits would float back up to the surface and that was with me using a snap and the added weight that comes with it.

Comments: Love the baits! Also, love reading the reviews and those who say it's not advertised as a suspending bait can't read! Says so at the bottom of the description under Class. Anyway, put some #4 short shank hooks on em & mine are fine!!! Will buy more!!!

Comments: Perfect small jerk bait for shallow water we do mostly river fishing and these jerk baits did their job. Great colors and profile. Thanks, TW for a great selection of everything.

Comments: Excellent fit and finish. Exceptional action. It's much smaller than I expected, but it's perfect for my pond box, and as some others mentioned, it's perfect for pressured fall fish. Show 'em something different. This is different. Good different.

Comments: This bait is gonna always have a spot in my tackle box. It's a downsized version that plays well on high-pressure lakes but also helps get those fall bites as you try and match the hatch.

Comments: Swing and a miss here. I cannot get this bait to get eaten! I will put on other similar rip baits from other brands and catch them. Not sure what is up but I'm glad I only bought one.

Comments: The strike King j100 is really awesome bait I like the fact the bait has a nice erratic motion with it every time you switch it it's a bait that I can depend on when the situations gets tough one thing I don't like is a selection of colors
From: Clayton: Florida 9/1/22
Comments: Awesome action whether you are twitchin, slow rolling or dead stickin. It really gets the bass excited, so hold and be ready for a good fight!

Comments: The best shallow water jerkbait I have found. Casts a mile on 10 lb test and glides through weeds much better than it's larger brother.
From: Devin: Michigan 6/2/22
Comments: The bait doesn't suspend great but no jerkbait really does until you tweak it a bit. Get some suspend strips or larger hooks and add em to the bait. Small profile and great action. Overall another awesome bait from strike king!

Comments: Another awesome jerkbait from KVD and Strike King perfect size and action....changed out hooks and it suspends great.....already caught several fish on the natural shad
From: Troy: Unknown 2/18/22
Comments: The Strike King KVD 100 Jerkbait does not suspend like I hoped it would. But no worries though It's still gonna get hammered because of the small profile and great action that it has. I'd like to see it become available in few more colors especially Green Gizzard Shad.

Comments: I have had a lot of success on this bait, it's another great addition to your arsenal, casts great on a baitcaster for it's size.

Comments: Bought two to try out and both rise in 43F water. I have now added lead and both look pretty good (suspend) in the water. Caught two good keepers on the Ayu color and lost the other JB after only a few casts. My opinion is they are worth the money if you need to have smaller baits for skinny water as I do since most of the shad are very small in the area I am fishing.

Comments: This bait performed exactly as advertised and I have caught many fish with it. Fully satisfied.
From: Unknown: 11/2/21
Comments: Love this jerkbait. I live in central Florida and some of our clear water high pressured fisheries can be TOUGH. This lil finesse puppy catches the you know what out of em. I have to throw it on spinning tackle but that's ok.
From: James: Belle Isle, FL 10/21/21
Comments: The Strike King KVD 100 Jerkbait is a well designed lure. It casts well and has great action when worked properly. The smaller size is great for matching young bait fish.
From: Paul: Florida 10/12/21
Comments: Haven't had a chance to use the 100 size yet. Love the 300. Caught striper, white bass, walleye and bass on it in 15' to 18' of water. Did have the tail hook pull out of one bait. Not sure if it was just the bait coming apart or if I smacked it on the side of the boat or something.

Comments: Not pleased after I bought on of these. I bought one for using in a local creek and they DON'T SUSSPEND. I am a huge jerkbait fisherman and through one a good bit. While I am pleased with KVD's other jerkbaits but this one is not a sequence it does cast a mile though but i still think it is just a little to big to throw on a spinning rod. Hope this helped someone.

Comments: For everyone saying they don't suspend they literally are not a suspending model. I didn't see anywhere where they said that it's a suspending bait. Great lure and action. I prefer the slow rise. People need to learn how to think. Will be buying more!

Comments: Great jerk bait for catching smallmouth all year. It can be fished in both cold and warm water.
From: Ernest: Herndon, PA 8/5/21
Comments: This has been a very good jerk bait in clear water. I have only used the Sexy Ghost Minnow color, lots of smallmouths caught on it.
From: Ernest: Herndon, PA 8/5/21
Comments: I have had good success with the J200 size in cold, clear water for largemouth bass in winter and early spring. I ordered the smaller size to use in smaller impoundments and for times when the bass are short-striking the larger model. I don't know what it is about the strobe shad color combo that triggers strikes but it definitely works! I like this bait for its neutral buoyancy and long casting ability. It also works on smallmouths in the clear water of the St Lawrence.

Comments: These do not suspend, I bought a bunch not one suspends. Good action cast great.
From: Brian: Oak Creek, WI 4/22/21
Comments: Very good jerk bait on Lake Keowee in South Carolina. The action of the bait is awesome.
From: Danny: Belton 2/28/21
Comments: Great in some shallow ponds around me. Doesn't seem to suspend though, more of a medium float.
From: Matt: Dallas, TX 1/6/21
Comments: Its a great bait to use in the fall.
From: Tommy: Greenfield 1/4/21
Comments: Floats. Game hooks and Owner split rigs and it suspends fine. Good finesse option.
From: Gene: Missouri 1/3/21
Comments: This is a great little finesse jerkbait to throw when the fish are being finicky. Casts well for it's size because of the weight-transfer system. Not sure why folks are complaining about it not suspending. It doesn't advertise that it does. This bait has a unique action of it's own.
From: Unknown: Wisconsin 12/26/20
Comments: It's ok if you like dull colored lures. I think Rapala beat them in color and action.
From: BG: Graham, NC 12/20/20
Comments: Solid product, great paint job. Only issues is these dont suspend. Had to add quite a bit of lead tape to get it to suspend.

From: JG: Nashville 12/15/20
Comments: This thing does not suspend! I have ordered suspend dots to hopefully fix it!
From: Bob 12/12/20
Comments: If you're looking for a jerkbait that performs like the KVD 200 or 300 this is definitely not it. Does not suspend at all. It actually floats up like a crankbait. Very disappointed. Wish I could return every one of them.
From: Dan B.: Ohio 11/30/20
Comments: I fish in fairly pressured urban waters and feel like this size would be suitable for the finicky bass.First cast ever with it I caught a large mouth. Studied the action under water and it looks pretty good. My only issue with it is that mine slowly floats up.If it keeps catching fish, that doesn't matter though.
From: Ian: San Fernando Valley 11/20/20
Comments: Suspending ? NOT !floats like bobber.
From: Unknown 11/13/20
Comments:Without a dought, it's the best jerkbait for smallies. Although the lip broke after it hit a rock... That's my only complaint.
