Overview
The Strike King KVD 300 Jerkbait is the result of close to two years of designing and testing by Kevin VanDam, one of the most renowned jerkbait anglers ever. It’s unlike any jerkbait on the market with a wilder action than any other jerkbait he’s ever fished - and it flat gets bit. It has a really wide side-to-side travel on the jerk, and also has a lot of erratic wiggling and darting action. A weight transfer system means you can cast it a mile, and 3D eyes and incredible detailing only add to its appeal. It also features three super sharp treble hooks for maximum hooking potential. There’s not much more you could want in a jerkbait, pick up the Strike King KVD 300 Jerkbait today in a range of colors handpicked by KVD, himself.

Slow floater, not suspendingalways frustrating when products claim suspending for floating baits, but out of the box this is a slow float. catches fish, but it's a prime candidate for suspendots.
Unmatched value jerkbaitI love this lure and over the years I've gathered quite a few of them. I find they cast a mile, have great action, can we worked slow or fast and they just get bit.. I simply can't justify spending $25 on a jerkbait when this KVD does so well. It even out performs my other LC 110s. Much better action the yo zuri 100 imo. I never tried the pro model but frankly I think there non-elite version has better colors anyways.
Pro green color caught me a 4lb largemouth just the other day on a Georgia reservoir with at least 10ft water visibility. Also a few spotted bass. I couldn't get bit on anything else.
Natural shad is a hybrid striper MAGNET. I've caught several 4-7lb hybrid stripes with the same lure. Largemouth love em too. The large stripers can begin to bend the trebles but nothing I can't easily straighten and the stock hooks stay pretty sharp. Never had to replace the hooks but then again I tend to lose lures before the hooks die out.
Bad manufacturingIf I could give it zero stars I would. Bought several, the weight transfer system doesn’t work. The big ball gets stuck in the rear and it doesn’t sit level
I know what your thinkingYou die hard jerkers gotta think I'm crazy but, this jerkbait in Crystal Shad color has saved my butt on many days and has caught me some of the biggest fish of the year. Especially in water down into the low 40s.
