Built using the highest quality materials available and extreme attention-to-detail, the original Preacher Jig was made by the famous Georgia Preacher years ago. The original Preacher Jig has been out of production for several years and Talon Custom Lures recognized the need to bring it back. They’ve legally acquired exclusive ownership and rights to produce the original Preacher Jig.
Introducing Talon Custom Lures Ted’s Magnum Preacher Jig, which boasts several upgrades from the original Preacher Jig design to make it more relevant to today’s angling styles. They’ve kept the original feather placement, which was one of the Preacher’s secrets to the subtle action and vibration that helped make the bait so successful. Ted’s Magnum Preacher Jig is made longer by combining premium bucktail with extra-long, natural hair that wasn’t readily available back then to give the jig more irresistible lifelike action.
Another key upgrade was slightly changing the head design, the original head tended to fall on its side when it hit the bottom between rips. The redesigned head is built around a custom 30-degree Mustad Heavy Wire Hook that allows the Magnum Preacher Jig to rest in the upright position on the bottom. Available in a range of baitfish colors, the Talon Custom Lures Ted’s Magnum Preacher Jig is ready to handle today’s heavier tackle and faster reel speeds, but still give you the same natural flowing, seductive action.

Comments: Bought this jig a few months ago and it seemed like a decent jig. But after the first trip the jig started falling apart and the hair got all knotted around the hook. About 25% of the hair fell off the jig and I didn't even catch any fish or get any bites On the jig
