Ready for snook, trout, redfish, flounder, and countless other inshore species, the Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore Pursuit IV Spinning Combo is specifically made to handle the rigors of saltwater angling. Now 30% lighter than a comparable Ugly Stik GX2 rod, the Carbon Pursuit Combo includes a sensitive, rugged Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore rod built on a 100% graphite 24-Ton blank with a solid tip for boosted sensitivity. Crafted with legendary Ugly Stik toughness, the Carbon Inshore rod also sports a premium cork foregrip and shrink tube rear handle, Fuji reel seat, and one-piece Ugly Tuff stainless guides that have a durable, rust-resistant proprietary coating.
Equipped with a Superline Spool for easy braided line attachment, the Penn Inshore Pursuit IV reel is engineered with a strong, corrosion-resistant graphite body along with four sealed stainless bearings for smooth operation, whether reeling in a jighead shrimp or cranking on a ten pound redfish. After the bite comes, an instant anti-reverse enables rock-solid hooksets, while the HT-100 drag washers let line flow off the spool smoothly when a hot fish streaks across the flat.
