Comments: i have the 7'2" medium with a Vanford 2500. i fish the drop-shot on that rod. its been great. super sensitive so i feel that tiny "tick" from a fish sucking in the worm. fighting a fish is pure joy (for me, i'm sure the bass hates it). the grip is plain, but feels great with respect to diameter. i can toss baits all day long with very little fatigue. as i fish with the rod, i have found the Achilles. it is the bait holder hook. its in the wierdest place for my style. i have magically gotten my line hooked on that thing, many times. i reel in feel the resistance and look to see if the line is hooked around the tip..nope. it somehow found it's way on the baitholder tab!! and if you put the dropshot sinker on the tab, that puts the worm up in my travel sleeve. i put an old worm over the hook during travel so i dont hook the travel sleeve. i wish the baitholder was in the same location as my Phenix Maxim.

Comments: I have always been a st. croix, loomis and lamiglas die hard for about 30 years. I never even heard of Phenix until about a month ago. Read tons of reviews and then decided on the Phenix Recon Elite 7' 6" med for ned rigs. I paired it with a Daiwa Ballistic 3000 (man what a reel!!) and this has got to be the finest rod reel combo I have ever had. The rod might weigh 3 1/2 - 4oz at most. It has an awesome feel and the craftmanship is awesome! I have always believed that the more you pay the better it is. Until I got this rod. I will definitely be adding some more to my line up. Great job guys.

Comments: I got a 7'2" Light, fast and I have to say, it is the lightest, and most sensitive Rod, ever...  Would Highly recommend Phenix Recon.  I have over 40 Rods and nothing compares, rods like G. Loomis IMX, St. Croix Avid, Powell Endurance, and so on...  Amazing Rod for the Money.  Get it, You will Love it.

Comments: I have many different brands of rods, Diawa, Loomis, St. Croix, Powell, etc.... all very light setups, but this has to be pne of the lightest, immediate thoughts... Impressed, not a scratch, guides straight, very light, thought maybe a bit tip heavy (until I put a 2000 reel on, that's when it matters) then it felt just perfect.  Impressed, cannot wait to hit the water.  Using mainly for: lt line, ned, neko, lt jigs, and lt 2" swimbaits.  You'll be impressed.

Comments: Absolutely great rod.  Looks and feels awesome.  I picked up the 7'6" M and paired with a Stradic CI4 2500 for mostly wacky senko use.  I have been using a 1/16 weedless jig head and 8 lb mono with the senko's and the set up feels perfect for the application.

Comments: Flawless! When i pulled my 6'9 Light from the tackle warehouse shipping tube and plastic packaging, i immediately sat down and inspected every inch of the rod with a flashlight. Not a flaw. No knicks, no scratches, no epoxy drips, no loose reel seat, EVA foam is in perfect condition, the guides are perfect and straight (love these guides!). I was very impressed by the subtle accents and attention to detail. Under sunlight the carbon blank really pops. Simply put, a SICK looking rod. The action is exactly what I was looking for. 6, 7, and 8 pound line is where this particular model shines...although this past week i used 10 pound braid and liked it as well. I throw light weight wacky rigs and drop shots on a 2500 size daiwa ballistic  or 2500 size daiwa fuego. With my index finger extended, this setup balances perfectly horizontal right at the base of the threaded ring that tightens the reel to the reel seat. I have had a lot of fun with this rod since i got it last month. Sensitive, very lightweight, perfect craftsmanship, and worth every penny. So happy with this purchase.
