Poor build qualityI was pretty happy with the fact that it was USA made but the build quality was not as good as other rods in the same price range the guide were not completely inline it had bubbles in some of the clear coat and the blank was not a strait i sent it back and bought a another brand

Would Recommend
The Icon DeliversThis Rod is so comfortable to fish with all day long without fatigue. It is very sensitive, yet strong back-boned. Even tho it was designed specifically for Bladed Jigs, which it shines at doing, it can double as a good Spinnerbait Rod also. I highly recommend this Rod.

Questionable Quality ControlFirst, I will list the one positive feature I experienced: (1) The blank loads nicely with a 1/16 oz. jig head and 2" swim-bait when casting.The negatives: (1) The first rod I received had a crooked/bent tip (Tackle Warehouse was great and sent me replacement with one that had a straight blank); (2) The blank snapped on my 3rd cast when I hooked a small spotted bass (4lbs. test mono with properly set drag and no high sticking) during my first outing; the blank broke approximately 13" up from the reel nut; it was the first time I used the rod and I kept it in a rod sleeve during transport so I do not see how the blank was previously damaged to cause such catastrophic failure in the blank; (4) the epoxy on the guides was applied too heavily resulting in "footballing" around the guide feet; (5) the rod is heavier than a Phenix BFS in the same category. The grip material is largely a matter of personal preference, but it is not as comfortable as cork or foam to handle.

Small chatter bait rodThis is a great rod for them little chatter baits 1/4 and 3/16 of a oz does a great job with them on 8 pound test line.

My new favorite brand & rod!I got the chatterbait 7'4 rod and it has quickly become my favorite rod, smashing 3+lb smallmouth on the chatterbaits, this rod is incredibly sensitive but has all the backbone to set the hook as fiercely as you want, and winch those lunkers in. Good ol' cashion made in the USA cashion has become my favorite brand of rod i now own 6 of them and counting! Cant say enough good things about this brand!

Not an ultralightI purchased the ultralight model being kind of skeptical because of the huge range of weights it can throw and I was right. I have it pair with the ark bfs and it can't throw a 1/32 ounces mule jig with a donkey tail junior effectively and hooks hard to the left or right like the rod is to stiff. With that being said it excels at throwing 1/8 and is decent at throwing 1/16. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5 out of 5 is because it isn't an ultralight. It is still a great bfs rod and I would definitely recommend it if you are staying above 1/16.

6’8 ultralightThis rods action is perfect for bfs treble hook baits, and the sensitivity is great. Panfish and bass feel great on this rod, but it still has some backbone at the bottom of the rod to work with. It’s not gonna pull big fish away from cover but it can still move fish in semi open water, caught a 3ish pound bass in current and it did a good job of bringing it in and keeping the bass off the rocky bottom.

UL is specialPurchased the UL version matched with curado bfs . Wow… after it was dialed in I was flipping and tossing all kinds of baits with extreme ease. 12in bass are fun. 2nd time out hooked a 5lb LM and it was quite the experience. The accuracy is awesome compared to spinning and the efficiency is a game changer. Btw No need to cast hard, slow down and enjoy how this thing just lets them fly. I have over a dozen UL and light spinning rods and I think I am a bfs casting convert.
