Perfect for targeting fish with forward-facing sonar units, the Core Tackle Weedless Hover Rig features lead poured along the shank of the hook and in front of the line tie to distribute the weight throughout the soft plastic instead of being isolated at the head like a traditional jighead. Comments: I caught a 10 pound Bowfin at FORT SNELLING STATE PARK on the 29th of Sept. 2023 around 5:30 pm. 1/32 oz hook with a Z-MAN TRD TICKLE, I used a medim- light rod, 10 pound FIELD & STREAM FLORO fishing line. Very good hooks; I'm going to use the large 7/0 Tush on my 9" 6TH-Sense Panorama for Pike and Musky here in Minnesota.

Comments: This is not only a super unique way to use the hover rig for sonar but it goes far beyond that. These are great for any type of fisherman. Throw just about any soft plastic you could imagine on these and just let the bait glide. Beaver style baits,worms,flukes,creature baits,you name it! Start with the 3/64 and the 1/8 ounce ones and go slay some bass.

Comments: Very versatile, you can use it for hover strolling as intended, but they also work well in a Neko rig, as a weighted soft jerkbait/fluke hook, skipping under docks, bouncing along the bottom with a smaller creature bait... Use your imagination, I'm sure I didn't think of everything. Also, the wire weed guard is easy enough to cut off if you don't need it, but I've never noticed it getting in the way of hook sets. Search YouTube for videos showing how to rig these, it's simple but not exactly obvious if you've never seen it done before.

Comments: This is the biggest thing that could have happened to a hover rig. 80% of all soft plastics will work great on this hook. Matt Stephan and Johnny Schultz invented this thing and if you need to know how to use it, go to their websites. Trust me, it's a killer.
