New favorite line by farNothing comes close. Since I started fishing more seriously in 2017, I have tried lots of lines. I started out cheap, with yo zuri and red label….. but quickly found out that stuff sucks. The problem with cheap lines is either abrasion resistance or its gets crazy memory almost as bad as metal wire. I tried expensive…. Tatsu and shooter….. while great lines, they are not affordable when changing line on 15-20 rods several times a year. So at some point someone told me to try samurai fc for my flipping rod, that I would be amazed how good the abrasion resistance was. Well turns out, I really loved the line. From the diameter, to the memory, to abrasion resistance. I started buying bulk spools and using it on everything. My favorite line. Then for x-mas last year my dad got me a bulk spool of this in 14lb. I used it and I like it better than the clear stuff. It really does disappear in water and same memory and diameter of the samurai we all love. Cant beat it. And unlike sunlines hidden colored line, this stuff is not that much more expensive than the regular. I honestly think of samurai fluoro as a budget shooter or tatsu…… its that good. The only rods i dont use this stuff on are: frog rod, spinning rods, and cranking rods….. i use sunline assassin on my crankin rods because it stretches more than samurai.
It's weird how invisible it isIt's legit difficult for me to see the 6lbs test when I'm tying on. I went to 7lbs test for the sake of my finger dexterity. The line really is remarkably difficult to see (out of the water) and in the water of my lake it's practically invisible. I'd feel sorry for the fish if I didn't want to catch them.
Wow!!I bought the 8lbs test line. I fished with it yesterday and the strength was truly shocking!?! I got snagged and the amount of strength required to get it free was an uncomfortable amount so I just cut the line. I have never had to do that with sub 15lb fluorocarbon line ever!! This is an experience I've only had using braid.
GreatI have used this line in 12-20lb and never had a problem while casting 2-7oz swimbaits in the socal surf. The line offers great abrasion resistance, knot strength, and sensitivity. I normally buy 1000yd spools, and both the 1000 and 220 yd spools provide a halfwaymark and line keeper, making spool management a breeze. This and daiwa samurai floro are all I fish, picking one or the other based on which line is available at the time. I highly recommend this line for all your fishing needs.
Love itHave used 5, 7 & 10 on spinning, and 10 & 16 on casting. Very small diameter - kind of scary visually, compared to diameter of other lines. Had to fish it for two seasons, but now I am confident that it's durable as well. Supple for casting/handling, yet strong. However, not fishing heavy cover. I am careful to retie if I feel a nick or kink.
Awesome lineI’ve been using 7 pound for leader for smallies and it’s been great and the stuff is essentially invisible out of water let alone in the water
Amazing lineI bounced around a lot on different flouros and still do somewhat. Used P line for a while, then Seaguar, Sunline, back to Seaguar, tried the Shimano line when it came out, and then finally stumbled on this and the normal J-flouro sometime last year. What I like the most is just how long it’ll last and how durable it is. Very abrasion resistant, lays great on a spool, the actual spool the line comes on is very well thought out, and it seems to be real strong. Not the only flouro I use, still use different types of Sunline regularly, particularly the shock leaders, still use Seaguar shock leaders too, but I have this and the non-hidden version spooled up on a couple different reels and am in love with it, definitely one of my new favorites. Yes it’s expensive, but with how long it lasts you don’t need to spool up as often, therefore in the long run it’s cheaper. Very happy with this stuff!

Comments: Figured I'd give it a shot. Daiwa has made some good line and some not so good line... This stuff is the real deal. I've been very impressed with the strength, knots and abrasion resistance. Love the color for clear water applications and that's what caught my eye. If you know how to tie knots properly, you will be pleased with this line. Top shelf stuff.

Comments: I am very pleased with this purchase I love the line works very well with my style of finesse/ I mean super finesse fishing. Hard work pays off with 4 lb test line hooking up close to 4 pounder largemouth bass I feel I achieve a lot and YES I OWE MY SUCCESS TO A WELL-MADE FISHING LINE I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE AGAIN/AGAIN AND AGAIN.
