$130+ Tax Garbage rodThis dobyns rod is not worth $138. Cons: - tip breaks easily - sub par guide quality - after 1 season, the sensitivity goes away and action changes to a more parabolic noodle rod - fishing 3-4 days a week, this rod does not hold up after 1 season Pros: Shimano Intenza glass - med hvy mod action Going on 2nd season and still holding up $150 after taxes - 3x sensitive - reliable, durable, keeps fish pinned - still has the same action after heavy 2nd season fishing - this is what the dobyns strive to be, Intenza outfishes all Dobyns brands. I own Dobyns Champion Extreme $300+ rods, does not fish near the Intenza capability, quality, durability

There is a reason everyone recommends theseFor the price, you simply can’t find a better cranking rod. It doesn’t just stop there. It also does great with jerk baits and really anything that has a treble hook. I’ve thrown it all to run this thing through the paces and it’s been flawless so far.

Great squarebill & lipless crankbait rodThis rod is so good I’m going to buy another one. Plenty of power to rip your crankbait out of the grass but forgiving enough to keep a decent fish pegged with a lipless…most of the time!! I bet it would be a great bladed jig rod too. Exceptional rod for the price.

So good I bought another oneThis is for the 705CB crank bait rod. I had a couple of Dobyns spinning rods and loved them so when I wanted a dedicated crankbait rod I looked at Dobyns first. I bought the 705CB 6 years ago and never ever regretted it. It handles big fish with ease. Jerkbaits, cranks, lipless, it handles them all effortlessly. It just feels like a more expensive rod. Unfortunately this summer I stepped on it and broke a couple of guide inserts. I didn't even hesitate to buy another one. Also I let my brother use it this year and he was so impressed he told me to get him one for his birthday.

Excellent Treble Hook RodThis is one of the best crank bait/square bill rods or treble hook bait rods I’ve used especially for the price. Great trap rod and Topwater spook rods. I wish they had this rod in a 7’6” because I like my cranking rods longer. This rod comes with full size guides for running braid to leader connection knots. You can’t go wrong with this rod especially for the price. Very versatile rod for all treble hook baits

I Love ItI have been using another brand of rods almost exclusively. A number of times I saw Mr. Dobyns in interviews, he seemed so down to earth and concerned about making the best products they can. So I thought I would give them a try. I needed a cranking rod, so I got this one. I didn’t want to do a review until I caught a decent fish on it so I could say how it performed with one. I caught a 4 pound 4 ounce largemouth bass and felt I could now give a good review. The rod really impressed me. I caught it on a dock with a railing. I could not reach the water with my net. A gentleman nearby came to help. So I had to fight it for a while until help arrived. I thought for sure I was going to lose it. Having just 2 hooks of a treble hook barely in its mouth. It was jumping and doing what they do to get off. But there was enough bend in the rod to keep constant pressure on this bass so it could get landed. I can’t say how impressed I am with this rod. I highly recommend it. If you fish anything with treble hooks, you need this rod. It cast like a dream, and I can get a good distance on casts with ease.
