Comments: I have the 7'4" L rod paired with a tuned up Daiwa Alphas mostly for hair jigs - I can cast them a mile and it handles the fish very well. Very pleased with this rod. At first I wondered why it had so many guides, but after fighting a few fish it made sense. Great rod for bfs gear.

Comments: I recently purchased the Sierra 7'light and paired it with a curda BFS reel and Im highly satisfied with this rod! My first time out was blast catching bass. The Rod is perfect for small crank baits, I used a RAPALA balsa wood floating bait with 4lb test flouro. I was able to cast it 35/40 yards. I highly suggest this rod, just make sure that you use the right reel with it! It also has enough back bone to land bigger fish.

Comments: I have a BFS 7' light 701 paired with an Aldebaran BFS (here in Europe the less expensive Curado BFS arrived later): the combo is delightful! I used to fish drop-shot, down-shot, small badebaits, micro-squarebils with a 6Lbs fluoro or 4Lbs braid-to-fluoro. Although extremely sensitive, this rod is parabolic enough to help in short pitching and in very long castings with such light tackles. Fight with any fish is extremely pleasant and line breaks are extremely rare, even with 22" bass or with 32" pikes. Amazing rod!

Comments: I got the 7' light to pair with a Shimano Curado BFS reel. Amazing setup for small swimbaits, tiny cranks and ned rigs. Best to use a true BFS rod as opposed to a whippy UL rod. Lots of fun pulling in smallies on this setup.

Comments: I needed a couple rods for my BFS reel but didn't want to buy from overseas. I just received my 650C from T.W. and this is one sweet rod. My 16' and 22' Aldebaran's fit perfectly. This rod is so light and the action is great. Not to mention the sensitivity is spot on. I also purchased the 691C from Dobyns (T.W. was out of stock at the time). The 691C is more of a one power but perfect for any of BFS reels. The 650 is a 0 power/extra fast solid tip whereas the 691 is more of a 1 power fast action tip. Kills 2 birds with one stone. Thanks, T.W. for your super fast shipping and great customer service.

Comments: I dove into BFS earlier this year and just picked up a Sierra 691. Had it out several times already and it is a phenomenal rod. I have several Dobyns rods for "regular" bass fishing and love them too. The 691 loads well and is very sensitive. Works great for single hook applications like weightless 3 inch senkos and fluke jrs, but can also handle 1/8 oz hard baits very well. I have even used it for 1/8 ounce Stanley spinnerbaits. Very lightweight. Overall, it feels like a downsized premium Dobyns rod which is a great thing.

Comments: This is an amazing rod for it's intended BFS purpose. I have used the 700 version exclusively for small swimbaits. SLX BFS reel with 7lb sunline sniper and a 1/8 cool baits/swimbait has converted many of my friends. This is an amazing rod that loads so well I have caught multiple 4 lbrs in open water on this. I stepped on my last one and had to order a new one, but I just can't go without that set-up!

Comments: Great rod for throwing light baits and plenty of backbone to handle larger fish. I've paired my 7' rod with a KastKing Zephyr reel upgraded with ceramic bearings and after a little practice can toss tiny baits as far as I can heavier baits on my heavier rods.

Comments: I have been using this rod all last season. Very well designed. This is a true bass BFS rod and not a whippy UL rod. I really like the ability of this rod to fish a wide variety of baits. Does well for bottom contact baits as well as moving baits...small jerkbaits too. Gives you the feel of your M or MH bass rod but, the ability to cast downsized versions of your favorite bass lures. Great rod.

Comments: I now have two of the 7 foot models that I use to finesse fish for river Smallmouth. Ultra lightweight and well balanced, all it takes to bomb an 1/8oz hair jig is a flick of the wrist. Handles 4 lb + Smallmouth without issue and is just a pleasure to fish.
