Comments: I have 2 of these reels and they are, by far , the best reels I own ! Casts light baits a mile ! You almost have to try and backlash to make it happen. Super easy to dial in , great drag system and buttery smooth retrieve . These reels are worth every penny

Comments: I have used lews for 7 years now, I have about 15 of them from the bb1, to the hypermag and all in-between, loved them and still do until almost all my new model super duties and new model tournament pros anti reverse bearing went out. the reel will free spool after it is engaged if your hand is to on the handle. lews has gone down hill

From: Steven 2/15/21

Comments: I've have owned one of these reels for a good eight months now and boy can I tell you this thing works awesome! Down here in New England, the weather and water can take turns in unpredictable temps tire changes. So far it has successfully managed to fish the cold water fronts and hot buggy summer days. If you take care of it and oil it accordingly it'll cast a mile and keep you satisfied with its performance! 100% going to purchase another one of these guys and continue to purchase lews products, great great brand!

Comments: Over the past few years I have used all types of reels. The Tournament pro is my favorite. It's durable, comfortable, silky smooth and cast a country mile. This reel will hold its own against any reel at any price point.

From: Derrick: Lake Cumberland 1/26/20

Comments: Bought 2 of these right after they came out, one to be the replacement for my Pro Magnesium that was stolen. Absolutely fell in love with them the first time out. Have fished them for a solid season now, in the harsh Pacific Northwest rain, and have had zero issues with either of them. I really like the range that the brake offers. can cast light baits, heavier baits, in the wind or against it. there's a way to adjust for every condition, which some reels just don't have that ability. It's smooth as butter, comfortable, and looks great. I have one of these paired up with a 7'5" Zodias and it has quickly become my favorite combo ever.

Comments: I tried one of these on a whim - and I am very impressed.  I now fish these over my Tatulas (Type R and SV's). Casts excellent for everything I've tried...even a Missile Ned Bomb on a 1/8oz jighead.  The light spool starts up really easy making it a great pitching reel.  The drag is strong and smooth.  The cosmetic is great.  I swapped the handle knobs out for Lew's Eva/Cork because I like more to grip but that is only personal preference.

Comments: I really like this reel. Fits my hand great, casts a mile and is super smooth. I was impressed with how well it casts into the wind. The drag is very smooth. For $200 it is hands down better than my $200 Revo STX. Will be swapping out my Revos for the Lews.

Comments: I received my new Pro LFS reel today and took it out to the lake this evening for a workout. I have three Pro Gs (that I love) and wasn't expecting a noticeable difference. I was wrong. This reel is an improvement on several fronts: it looks sharper, it casts surprisingly farther, it cranks smooth as butter, it seems to have considerably better cast control, it has a stronger drag, and it sports sweet little grippy-bumps on the handle knobs and thumb bar. It feels just as lively, sensitive, and solid as the G. Also, it's priced the same, yet performs like a more expensive reel. In fact, I was skipping a stick bait under docks without getting a backlash, which is pretty darn good for a klutz like me. In my opinion, the Pro LFS is a real winner.

From: Robert: South Florida 6/13/19

Comments: 7/10. To start, the reel is well built, casts great, light, and comfortable to palm. But does not blow me away, especially at the price point.  This is a great reel, but you could find comparable reels from Lew's or other brands for nearly half the price. I'd rather have 2 of the $100 Speed Spools.

From: Matt - 4/3/19

Comments: I had my first session with this reel today and was very impressed. I am a huge fan of the Pro G and was curious as to how this new model would compare to what I considered the best reel I'd ever owned (for context, I still use Curado D/E/G's, BB1's, Pro G's, and a SLP Custom). The gears in the 6.8:1 model are the smoothest I've felt in a reel. It casts as well as you'd expect a Lew's with ACB would, and the particular iteration in this model is an improvement in design from the one in the Pro G. From feel to performance I think it's an amazing improvement on an already nearly perfect reel. I think it's important to note that this new LFS model is redesigned and differs from the older LFS models. The frame, side plates, cast control, and line carriage have new dimensions and designs. I prefer the LFS platform over the SLP and I'm glad to see them continuing to improve it (my only SLP Custom left me feeling like they took a step in the wrong direction). And I have to say, that black and gold theme really throws back to the classic Lew's Speed Spools of yesteryear. Great job, Lew's!

From: Dan: VA 10/6/18

Comments: This reel is noticeably heavier than the Pro G. This may be due to the brass P2 gear. The reel also has a larger body and profile. After fishing with it for a month now I must say the new gearing is VERY smooth allowing me to feel more connected to the lure. The drag is extremely powerful. The casting distance is about the same as the Pro G. The reel is built like a tank. If you are used to the Pro G series, this will feel much different in your hand. If Lews had made this reel smaller and lighter I would rate it very high but It will still have a place in my arsenal.

Comments: Ive has 2 of these reels for about 4 months now, just now aloud to review them as part of an agreement, These reels are awesome! In my opinion they outcast the previous generation( G's) and overall they have performed great! Cant wait to see the longevity on these. My G's have held up well since they came out and i'm looking forward to putting these to the test!
