7'2" Medium HeavyHave had the rod for a couple months and fished both freshwater and saltwater using Texas rigged plastics. It has handled bass and redfish well. The dual nut reel seat thingy is really nice for holding the reel in place, but I do not like the location of the hook keeper. When casting with two hands the hook keeping keeps scratching by fingers.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Happy with my purchase. Feels good in hand and has enough backbone to set the tough hook sets. Been looking at them for a w6and finally had the chance to get one. Not disappointed.

Comments: I recently picked up the 7'5 heavy and the 7'2 medium heavy, and was very impressed. Working in a tackle shop allows me to experiment with a lot of different rods and these really perform. The 7'5H is my preferred football jig/dragging/ frogging rod. This one is a tad heavy BUT very sensitive. It gets the job done when the fish are on ledges. The 7'2MH is honestly a new fav for how versatile it is. In my last tournament I had a few things rigged up in specific manners with different lines on different rods, I used this one for throwing magnum shakey heads out deep on 15# Fluoro, throughout the day I felt like there was a topwater window opening up, but had nothing rigged up to throw a big walking bait to cover water. So I quickly swapped reels to something with braid onto this rod, tied on a Zara spook and eventually caught the kicker I needed to make a top ten. It was partly thanks to this rod. Pick you up a few, you won't be disappointed.

Comments: 7'6 heavy reviews. For the price the rod is to heavy weight wise imo. Build quality and looks are spot-on but this rod model weighs 5.4 Oz and makes lighter-weight higher-end baitcasters unusable because it becomes very tip heavy

Comments: Ok so I'll start off by saying I've been fishing for 20 years continuously now and I've tried a lot of rods and I'm not afraid to try new tackle as well because you can find some very nice stuff for much cheaper with the same if not better quality in materials. The Okuma psycho stick is such a rod. The only other rod I can compare this to is a Gloomis NRX. It's just as sensitive and tbh more light than the NRX and for lass than half the price. This rod is a steal and looks amazing. Some people complain about the reel seat but i didn't feel anything out of the ordinary because with a casting reel I'm mainly palming the reel and a few fingers on the rod.

Comments: I broke this rod the first time I used it setting the hook. However I thought it was a defective because i have lots of okuma rods and they have taken a lot of abuse with no issues. Tackle warehouse sent me a new rod so I did not have to deal with the warranty you cant beat that for service. the new rod has performed well so far.

Comments: Best bang for your $$$$. You are not going to find another rod in this price point for 46ton graphite. Rod is light and sensitive. Comparable to $300-$400 rods.

From: Kou: Unknown 1/20/22

Comments: I don't usually write reviews but this rod broke real easy 1st time out. I caught 2 keeper spotted bass and set the hook on a third one about 2 lbs and it broke right at one of the eyes about a 1/3 of the way from the tip. I have lots of Okuma stuff that I have completely tortured and never had anything happen to them so I am assuming it was defective but now I got to go register it and send it back if I can even find the receipt. Did not expect that from Okuma so didn't bother to register it.

Comments: Love the feel of this rod. Purchased a 7'5" MH and love it as my do everything rod. Cast lipless cranks a long ways and used it with chatterbaits and spinner baits. I've been using a bunch of different rods from other brands and this one stands out. I have not used the exprides, any of the g Loomis or the other extremely high end rods. But until I do, I think this is the best rod that I own. Looking forward to next season.

Comments: (Owen Wilson's voice) "Wow." Folks, I ordered a 7'5" MH and a 7'2" Med. I have been using the MH for football heads, punching jigs, and swim jigs. Great sensitivity and great backbone. Rod grip takes some getting used to, but for the price this is the best quality rod I've come across in years. I use the Medium as my new chatterbait rod and I have no complaints. Same as above! Great sensitivity and good backbone.
