Customer Reviews
Solid BaitI use the 8” Dark trout the most out of all the sizes and colors. It's a cheap bait that swims good fast or slow. I've caught a lot of quality pike and a hand full of descent bass on this over the years and as long as you got glue it'll keep catching. Definitely not the best for clear water cold months but dirty water warm month fish can't resist.

Comments: Every year I look forward to the new toys Savage Gear has to offer. When I saw this updated version with the new finish I couldn't wait for them to be come available. Got mine in the mail and when I first saw it in the water I knew It was gonna get destroyed. Sure enough after I modified a steel leader and took it out a couple of times a 39 inch pike obliged me and she did annihilate it. This makes it three of my biggest pike on savage gear lures. The other two were on the line thru roach. Savage gear continues to put out products that work. Awesome bait. My only beef would be that it stops swimming at a slow retrieve. You gotta use a faster retrieve but not gonna complain too much as long as it catches fish.
