Comments: This reel is absolutely butter. The line capacity is on the small side, but normal for a 70 size reel. The reel seems a little heavy, but balances well on a finesse rod. Only down side I have, is while winter fishing the reel itself is like an ice cube.

Comments: You get what you pay for. This reel is butter! Cast's LIGHT'S OUT with anything from 3/16 to 1/2 Oz. Smooth as a baby's bottom. A tad on the heavy side but balances out well with 6'6" or longer rods. Drag is crazy smooth and accurate and more than enough unless you're pitching/flipping heavy cover. Thank's T.W. for fast and friendly service.

Comments: Shimano guys will say just about anything, I'm not one of them. I honestly prefer Daiwa. That said; this reel is phenomenal. I have it on a Lew's custom lite 6'10" ML top water rod. I use that combo for everything from Ned rigs in the creek, to jerkbaits, to small Texas rigs, squarebills and beyond. With the right line you can sling a 1/16th oz ned rig 20+ yds with deadly accuracy. It is wildly smooth on the retrieve You almost have to look at it in your hands to make sure there's actually something there, it has zero resistance or grind. The clicking drag is awesome and definitely adds to the excitement of catching a fish. Overall 9/10. (-1 for the price)

Comments: Excellent reel ! It's a little heavy but balances well on my 843 conquest, cast well and super smooth.

From: Justin: Rome 4/7/21

Comments: As others have said: perfect ergonomics. I don't have huge hands, and this reel palms perfectly. Doesn't take but a second to get it dialed in. I run the brakes at 1-2 and hardly ever have to adjust the casting control knob, even with big variances in lure weight. Plus, the thing looks like a rocket ship from the year 3000. It's the most expensive reel I own, and Iâd buy it again, but I won't own more than one of them. I just had to know what a $600 reel felt like.

Comments: Awesome Reel! Ergonomics are perfect. Handle is short but not uncomfortable. Clicking drag is nice. Weight is hefty but really don't notice on a rod. Retrieve is very smooth, not loose smooth like a Tatula, more of a refined fluid smooth. Brakes have tons of adjustability, handling lighter lures or heavier ones. Super quiet too. Worth $600? Debatable. But as a reel enthusiast it's one to have for sure.

Comments: Just got mine in and tested it against my Metanium DC and Steez SV TW and it out casted them by 30 ft or so on average with a 3/8 oz plug . The reel is tiny and I did not realize from pictures just how small it is. I know it says it weighs 7.9 oz but you can not tell it because it is so small and palms easily. A total turn around from the Antares model which was big and bulky . IMO  This is the ROLEX watch of fishing reels and a work of art is what Shimano created with this reel!
