Excellent introduction to baitcastersWhen I first started learning how to use a baitcaster, this was one of my first ones. It is currently one of my swimabait rods and I love it. Didn’t want to break the bank or buy anything on the low end at my local Dicks or Walmart. This has caught many fish 3lbs and above.

OkIt’s an ok knock around / beginner reel , it’s light weight mainly because it’s mostly plastic. For the price I’d rather spend the extra $20 on the slx as it is 10 fold better.

CAN'T WAITI have one of the old models and always wish I would have ordered more!! I'm not saying I would use heavy line and go flipping hydrilla or chucking 2oz musky baits.... but I have and old Crucial 7ft crankbait rod with 10lb CX Premium line I use for Bandit cranks and small jerkbaits and its LEGIT. I had Bocca bearings swapped in it and it cast like a 300 dollar reel!!!
